Or maybe Peavy's arm will blow out!

I hope not...These White Sox aren't good enough to overcome injuries to their starting rotation, especially if their names are Peavy & Chris Sale.

Which team would be good enough to overcome injuries to their top 2 starters?

SHARK, the only starter injured right now is John Danks.

Speaking of Danks....there has been an update in regards to his injury and it seems he has a tear in his sub-scap that will not require surgery however there is no current timetable for his return.

I understand that, Frank. What if Jake Peavy and/or Chris Sale go down with Johnny? Then, these White Sox are screwed!

Good news...2B Gordon Beckham's hand/wrist which he appear to injure in the 7th inning of last night's Cubs' 12-3 beatdown wasn't serious and he's back in there tonight vs. the Cubs' Travis Wood. There is one notable change in this eve's White Sox lineup, and you'll see that in BOLD type, along with the players' lineup going in:

30 Alejandro De Aza CF (L) .296
15 Gordon Beckham 2B (R) .236
32 Adam Dunn DH (L) .227
14 Paul Konerko 1B (R) .359
51 Alex Rios RF (R) .291
24 Dayan Viciedo LF (R) .260
10 Alexei Ramirez SS (R) .230
17 Tyler Flowers C (R) .174
5 Orlando Hudson 3B (S) .176

Jake Peavy tries to stop the Sox bleeding this eve, 6-2 with a 2.91 ERA. He was the hard luck loser when he went 7 innings in a 1-0 Southsiders' loss to the Cardinals' Lance Lynn last Tuesday in St. Louis.

Lahair in right field again tonight. Rizz will be in Arizona friday according to me. There is enough evidence for me to conclusively determine that he will be flown to AZ following Iowa's game on Thursday and will replace Cardenas on the 25 man roster and will start at 1b Friday.

A sign of things to come? The Cubs play the Diamondbacks over the weekend at Chase Field.

He can't play until Saturday to make sure the Cubs get the extra year of control.

Here's how the Cubs will lineup vs. Jake Peavy this eve:

9 David DeJesus CF (L) .257
13 Starlin Castro SS (R) .303
6 Bryan LaHair RF (L) .299
12 Alfonso Soriano DH (R) .269
51 Steve Clevenger 1B (L) .284
15 Darwin Barney 2B (R) .272
24 Luis Valbuena 3B (L) .294
18 Geovany Soto C (R) .173
1 Tony Campana LF (L) .272

Lefty Travis Wood is 0-3 with a 4.58 ERA for the Cubs. The ONLY White Sox player he has faced lifetime...Orlando Hudson. Orlando: 0 for 2 lifetime vs. Travis. A bad omen again?

Travis Wood has really turned it around. He's been pitching pretty well since being called up.

Bill Miller with a make up call right there.

Sidenote: They take LaHair out (who is batting in the top of the 9th) for defense and leave Clevenger in to play 1st?

Please leave Corpas in, I don't want to see Marmol.

But the book says you got to bring in your "closer", and managers are afraid to go against the book, or in other words using common sense.
