No, "can't hit the side of a fucking barn but damn does my fauxhawk look good at the club" Marmol will give up 1,2 or whatever it takes to lose this game. Great job naming him the closer again Swaimer. His stats have been shit since his return off the DL but because they arent' as shitty as they were before he was hurt you make him the closer again.

I thought the same thing, maybe they want Clevenger available in case of injury to Soto.

Just foolin'. Got hit in the ankle and the docs came out to make sure he was okay. He's fine.

121 pitches for Peavy? I hope Coop doesn't blow a hammy jerking off to that pitch count number.

at least 4. Why did the other Cubs even bother playing the last 8 innings if they are going to drag his dead ass out there to blow it.

He's gone 3-2 on every batter, so far.

Edit: That's one.

My son and I watched the game while on top of a mountain in Tennessee. Ain't technology great?

Christ, the Cub sure are awful. Considering the circumstances, it was a sweet win.

I would have just buried one under AJ's ribs in the ninth. Fuck that penis.

Well, it took a bit longer this year but I'm hanging out the "Not Interested" sign for the 2012 White Sox.

Tomorrow I am going to lie to a vendor and tell him I can't make the Sox game because something came up at work. I was really excited during the nine game win streak and actually thought, "Wow, these guys could be good!" But then reality came back into focus and the Sox are the team they've been since 2009, which is a huge, pile of fucking shit.

See you guys in the Bears thread this season.

The AL central is a clusterfuck. Detroit is 2 back and Royals are only 4.5 back. Who knows a couple wins and the Twins could be right there with the other 4 teams.

I had the corn there tonight with the lime and mayo and cheese on it -- that was pretty good, but they could give you another couple scoops full of corn for $5.

Oh the game was OK as well. Sox should have scored some more in the 2nd. If Alexei hits that ball another five feet then it's 3-2 Sox. Feel bad for Peavy -- each one of his losses has not been due to his performance. I think he ended up going 120+ pitches today which was fairly good -- kept the runner from scoring after giving up a triple to start the ninth.

That call on Rios was terrible. Sox had many other chances in that game and that call cannot be blamed any more than their ineptitude on offense last nite.

CB Bucknor sucks too. There were a few players on both teams saying a few things to him. Its seems like every game I see that he is behind the plate, guys don't like the strike zone. He called Dunn out on a pitch that was a ball to other lefties. I saw him call a strike on a Cubs guy (forget if it was Soriano or LaHair) later in the game that was an obvious ball. He will blow calls regularly on the bases too. He is an AAA ump at best.

Hey, WSCR imaging department, hurry, you're gonna have to cut a promo for the Home Of Your Half-A-Game-Back Chicago White Sox.

I believe you are prone to being overly critical (or paying way too much attention) to umpires due to watching Hawk all these years.

Its not your fault.

I know Buckner is bad. I dont disagree with anything you said, but you know more about umpires and their weak spots than any fan I know.
