1.) He's a bad attorney.
2.) He's not a bad attorney because he had to go after the credibility of the victims. He had to do that no matter what. You might object to the manner in which he did that, but there's no good manner in which to do it.
3.) If you hate Sandusky, which I'd imagine everyone does, then throw him a parade for his crappiness.

If I've been inconsistent, it's the beer. But I don't think I have.

The testimonial evidence was so strong and extensive, that I don't see how anyone ever doubted that he would be convicted on the vast majority of the counts charged. But if a shoutout is called for in this case, I think it should go to the judge. He did a great job in keeping things moving at a wonderfully fast pace. Kudos to the judge.

There are a couple of other links you can work through that indicate he was concerned about being unprepared and the judge would not accept his argument. I don't think this angle should take away from the fact Amendola performed poorly. He probably could have garnered an extension of some sort if he presented a solid argument, which he probably didn't do.
