His face seems to be swollen on my TV during the weekend sportscast. I've heard the camera puts on 10 to 15 lbs., but this seems kind of excessive.

Thought this was a mult. You are becoming a caricature of yourself. Go away.

His Fedora is too small so his face looks fat.

Commenting on people's looks is fair for TV people. It's 90% of why you are hired. Especially for first time TV people. Hell, Bernstein and his crew (Terry, Larry, Drink and Goff) love telling you who looks bad, no matter if they are on TV.

Larry doesn't look good on TV. You ever hear of the phrase "He's got an easy smile"? Larry is the oppistie. His smile is rough. Makes the viewer feel uncomfortable. It's forced, fake, awkward and bad. Just like his fake radio laugh of "Ha Ha Ha Ha ha, that's funny, Uncle Teary." Yes, he has a fat face. He's got beady, darting eyes that are too close together like George W. Bush. Never trust people with eyes like that. He's not easy to look at. I would imagine he'll only look worse as he ages. He's not a good long tern "TV prospect" if you're a TV scout. Just thinking like a TV executive.

If you have an HDTV you can really see a lot of physical flaws in the newscasters.

His teeth are very yellow on HD, and he blinks too much.

in fairness, he is a likely-hyperactive intelligent comic book nerd realizing he's on tv. that's gotta add some pressure. radio is easy. television is.... scouted, as it's been so aptly said.

I'm finding Sarah Kustok decent looking on NBC. I always felt she looked mannish on Comcast. Maybe it's because she is next to L. Wilburforce Holmes. Not that I am checking out Larry.

Sarah Kustok is definitely decent looking on NBC5, but I don't know whose bright idea it was to have Kustok & Laurence Holmes work together on "Sports Sunday". That wasn't the idea when Comcast SportsNet loaned Kustok & Pat Boyle to help out NBC5's already shorthanded sports staff.

Did Mike Adamle quietly get fired? It's been pat and Larry or Sarah and Larry on Sundays. Haven't seen Adamle when I catch some weekday sportscasts. Get on that, Shark.

A gut feeling? Now that CSN's Pat Boyle and/or Sarah Kustok are doing "Sports Sunday" with Laurence, Beardown, I think Mike Adamle's schedule has changed. Adamle is technically NBC5's #1 sports anchor in the wake of Daryl Hawks' passing just over 1 year ago now.
