I think someone is over excited that Jeff Teague is good.

Sorry, but this is just not confidence in a D Rose return

If you're smart you don't have confidence in a D Rose return...

IMO a Scorer should have been the focus. Quincy Miller, Will Barton, Crowder, etc. Someone that once D Rose comes back (x) that player can be on the floor with him shooting.

Yes, I know they need another PG next year, but this was a perfect time for a veteran signing, someone that wants to play here, might take a lil less to play here? might have played here before, might still live here. CAPT KIRK!

Even if Teague is good and develops into a great PG...then what? Gonna run the weave?

If D rose does not come back, you need to break it all down anyways....sorry but this was not a draft for insurance, this was a draft to still acquire a player that will contribute to an area of lacking....shooting.

It's very doubtful that he ends up being great. If he ends up taking CJ's role for the next few years that's a good pick at 29.

Thats foolish..

I actually do think he will have issues when he comes back....but you are set to try and win, to plan for his demise is just foolish. You needed to add to this team and Teague at very best, he fills a hole for now.

So, in the JBills, the best scenario is in 3 years, they try and sign some players to play with Teague? lol

This team needed a scorer/shooter, not a D Rose backup or replacement in 2 years.

Can he play? I am guessing so. Just a part of this team that can and should be filled with any number of journeyman vets.

Are you saying that finding a starting 2 guard would be easier than finding a backup PG at pick #29?

You should apply to be a GM somewhere.

With the idea that the Bulls were screwed anyways because you aren't going to get anything but a "I hope he ends up good" player at the end of the first round I like the pick. I really liked him out of high school and I think he got caught up in the insane amount of talent on Kentucky. Put him on Iowa and he's lighting up the Big Ten and probably first team.

The best part about this pick is it gives Derrick Rose a break. If they can even cut down Rose's regular season minutes by 5 it will make a big difference. If Teague is starting the Bulls aren't going to be very good but no other player would have changed that at this pick.

Teague Bagged (I get ownership of that when you try to put it on a T shirt bigfan)

It is a fair question as to why they didn't take a combo guard or a shooter but you have to have faith in their ability to evaluate talent. One possibility down the road is Teague proves capable of starting in a year or two and they can trade his cost controlled contract for a real need once D Rose is back and fully recovered.

We shall see what happens with the guys drafted in the 2nd round to see if they passed on someone that could have helped in the 2 guard/combo guard position...

I think this is the first thread ever with 5 Big Fan posts and zero from Frank.
