I don't see them during the week, but I do on the weekends. I generally play fairly early in the mornings on Saturday so usually pace isn't a problem then. The golfers that are paying $60+ and getting up at 6:30am on a Saturday are usually pretty good with pace and etiquette. Its when I go in the after work Fridays or Saturday twilights that it sucks. I generally expect a 4.5-5hour round when I do that. But when its just 1 group holding everybody up, move them the fuck along.

Yes, I guess it is pretty common knowledge, but over the years there is a direct correlation to greens fees
and pace of play. This isn't a steadfast rule of course as there are plenty of business meetings and such
going on at the nicer clubs but at least some know to let you go through if they are slow. About a month
ago myself and 2 buddies played the front in 90 minutes and got to the back nine where a league was
finishing up and the back nine was 3 hours.

My buddy and I played 18 on Saturday in less than three hours. That includes driving back to the clubhouse after playing hole one and realizing we forgot a scorecard.

We used to have the perfect guy for it at the course I worked at...nice enough guy that he's not going to piss anyone off, but he is more than comfortable telling a slow group to get their shit together. The ones who drive up to you waving their arms around and acting like the sky is falling are just as worthless as the ones who don't say anything because you aren't going to take them seriously anyways.

If I ever win the lottery, that's the job I want.

How about Carillon? Maybe one of you will win that free cruise by getting an ace on that 420 yard par 4.

I'll ranger the match by throwing golf tees at Frank and keeping golf balls out of orbit from Spanky's... well, you get it.

I will come down and play. Let's see who can, and find something on golf now or whatever site Ugie endorses.

Where's Spany?

All I see is the Red X, which I have a feeling is a good thing.

Carillon, Sanctuary, Woodruff, Inwood, Wedgewood, Broken Arrow, Big Run; all pretty close to the pub.

Gleneagles, Cog Hill, Woodbine are within that 30minute window

Coyote Run and Odyssey are right off I-80, a 30-40min drive tops.

Shot a 37 on my back nine Saturday morning. 3 birdies, should have been a little better.

Just the shameless need to have the discussion moved back to the thread I created.

Did 9 holes with my Dad on Saturday. Put 3 balls in the water, but ended up with a 45. Swung pretty well overall, and had only a 2putt on every hole.
