I'd like to think that the last thing that went through his head, other than that bullet, was to wonder how the hell Andy Dufresne ever got the best of him.

Whatever clay rapada was thinking was no match for what I was thinking. I usually do not care for profanity, but I did swear quite a bit after that play.

Then I shook my head and laughed, while praising The Lord for all my good fortune.

The lineup is in for tonight's second of four in the Bronx. These are the nine that'll deal with Yankee righty Adam Warren in his ML debut:

30 Alejandro De Aza CF (L) .298
20 Kevin Youkilis 3B (R) .241
32 Adam Dunn DH (L) .214
14 Paul Konerko 1B (R) .332
51 Alex Rios RF (R) .305
12 A.J. Pierzynski C (L) .278
24 Dayan Viciedo LF (R) .254
10 Alexei Ramirez SS (R) .242
15 Gordon Beckham 2B (R) .240

Jose Quintana does the chucking for the White Sox tonight. Does Joe Girardi have a few changes in his lineup for the Yankees?

There are 2 former White Sox in tonight's Yankee lineup. They're in BOLD type and here's how they'll deal with White Sox lefty Jose Quintana:

2 Derek Jeter SS (R) .304
14 Curtis Granderson CF (L) .241
25 Mark Teixiera 1B (S) .248
13 Alex Rodriguez 3B (R) .269
24 Robinson Cano 2B (L) .307
33 Nick Swisher RF (S) .264
22 Andruw Jones DH (R) .216
17 Jayson Nix LF (R) .224

19 Chris Stewart C (R) .261

SHARK!, what do you know about young Adam Warren? Is he related to Robert Penn Warren?

I saw what you did there. By the way, Russell Martin is still out for the Yankees with back issues, fifth time in 6 games.

Seems hard to believe, but back in 2009, Jayson Nix platooned at second base with Chris Getz, now with the Royals. Nix actually hit 12 HR's in very limited at-bats when he was with the White Sox.

I know as much as the White Sox do about Adam Warren. In plain English, nothing.

Maybe they should get a new Director of Scouting.

If I remember correctly, the White Sox knew nothing about Ivan Nova the first time at U.S. Cellular Field about a year or two ago, and I think he got his first career win vs. the Southsiders.

I know that you are very strict about details, so I am going to have to correct you here.

Ivan Nova had made a Major League start only six (6) days prior to the game you have referenced. Do you think that they did not look at any film?

Ordinarily, I would let this go. There is, however, a different standard when discussing the journalistic integrity of the Rumplestiltskin-looking SHARK!

Quintana loses his scoreless innings streak, but Sox do some damage second and third time around the lineup against this kid.

Sox win 7-3 tonight.

Didn't realize that almost 30% of the Yankees' current roster are ex-White Sox:

Nix
Jones
Stewart
Garcia
Logan
Wise
Swisher

In my opinion, it is a fireable offense to start this steaming pile of garbage in a Major League baseball game.

What's up with the Greenwich, CT fans behind the plate sipping from champagne flutes? Babe Ruth is rolling in his grave.

Did Hawk just say that he's seen "many Latin pitchers struggle in their debut in Yankee Stadium"? Why would Latin pitchers struggle any more than any other race? Stone just moved on without comment. Seemed a bit odd.

I didn't hear that, but if he said it, I would guess Hawk's thought process is that Yankee Stadium iconic everywhere, even in Latin America. You're a kid growing up without shoes in San Pedro de Macoris, Yankee Stadium is about as big as it gets. Whether Hawk is right or not is another question entirely.

It looks like there are a lot of empty seats behind home plate at Yankee Stadium. There are also a lot of people in prime seats who appear to be completely ambivalent to the game. Not a big deal, but with all of the bashing of White Sox fans it kind of stood out during the broadcast.

How about the Yankees fans cheering on the dope who threw back Alexei's homerun? They have reduced themselves to Cubs fans. Glorious!
