best case scenario for me. I win my pool either way if Germany or Italy won the whole thing, and this way I no longer have to cheer for the Nazis, I only have to cheer for the friends of Nazis.

Spain's my favorite, but if they win my girlfriend wins the pool and I don't really need to go through that.

Pirlo is the player of the tournament. Doesn't matter if Italy wins or loses.

All credit to Spain, well done. Italy ran out of gas.

I wonder my odds if I place a bet on the semifinalists in Brazil 2014 being Spain, Germany, Argentina, and of course, Brazil?

Forgot it was on. I had very little interest in this final.

I don't know why everyone is hating on Spain. The way they play is incredible. They don't have that one spectacular guy, but all of them play at such a high level and play so well together.

I was one of the people who didn't like the way Spain played, string 15 passes together and go nowhere.... thought it was boring, effective but boring.

But full credit to Spain, they certainly earned it. Funny, though, how in the game where they had the least possesion of any in the tournament they were probably their best and certainly most lethal.

I wonder if the circumstances of this game will lead to some thinking about the rules about substitutions. Maybe add one or two more, I think this could be beneficial in the games that go beyond 90 minutes. Think back to some of the games that went into extra time in this tournamnet, some of those teams looked dead tired at the end. And with the World Cup coming up in Qatar and that heat, just wonder if the rules of the game needs a little tweaking.
