Spiegs just said its a lock that the Bulls will amnesty Boozer. Nothing but the opposite has been reported for the past 8 months.

I don't think he necessarily meant this season, did he?

He didn't specify, but given the context it's reasonable to assume he did. They were talking about matching Asik's offer and paying Taj and he said you don't have to worry about Boozer, he's gonna get amnestied, it's a lock they amnesty him. If they amnesty him two seasons from now that doesn't help with the Asik/Taj situation this summer.

It's also reasonable to "assume" he didn't mean this year. Hear what you want to hear, FF.

Of course they could sign Omer and amnesty Boozer in a year or two, once Omer's contract escalates.

Could Murphs 10 pound bag prevent Jason from passing out while talking NBA.

They could, but they also will have to extend Taj or match his offer sheet when he becomes an RFA, which is next summer. Given the context in which he said it, it wouldn't make sense for him to have meant two summer from now. I guess he couldve meant next summer, but that would still be a silly opinion since the Bulls seem to have made it clear they are not going to amnesty him.

Side note: when did the NBA start the Amnesty Clause?

If it's a silly opinion then it's one which is shared by virtually every NBA "expert" I've heard comment on it. I think it is sillier to take anything the Bulls say as factual - particularly when it is in regard to a player.

Upon further review, the NBA's amnesty clause went in place last year. Here's a free crap if anyone wants it. Last night Schuster said the Bulls wanted to amnesty Boozer five minutes after he signed the deal. Tough to amnesty him when that policy was not in place at the time of his contract.

I think it's common sense that he should be amnestied immediately. Me and the nba experts would agree there. However, given the Bulls and JR's history, as well as the reports from the last eight months, I believe it's also common sense to think the Bulls won't amnesty him. Maybe Spiegs is right, who knows?

Schuster should know that. Too bad "WYC" will be pre-empted Thursday on The SCORE due to Rangers/White Sox afternoon baseball at The Cell.

That's not really a WYC moment.

anyone know what time WYC will be this Thursday?

Schuster was likely being similarly sarcastic with that comment.

What if the game is rained out? I will literally barbecue Dave Shuster if they have it.

Who is McFly?

Who is John Galt?
