I have completely lost energy and have been excessively tired and worn down for several months.

Went to see the hematologist for my second post stroke follow up. He initially said it was the weight gain but when I said that I was more tired than I ever was when I was more than 100 pounds heavier than I am now he ran a full blood work.

Turns out I am so anemic that I need iron IVs. Kudos to the doctor for digging deep.

And shoutout to my boss who is letting me work around the appointments so I don't have to take time off and letting me telecommute for the time being to cut out the commute to and from work to help with my exhaustion.

ANd kudos to my brothers as well. When I mentioned I may need a blood transfusion if the iron doesn't work eventually all 4 asked where do they sign up to do a direct blood donation. But 2 of my brothers are different types and my brother who is my full brother and otherwise would be a best match is diabetic so he can't.

I'm not a fan of cgs.

Thanks for the good thoughts on here and a couple of twitter and emails from those who know my email or twitter names.

I'm in a weird way kind of relieved. Considering some of the other things that can cause this type of exhaustion this is among the easiest to treat. It won't be a barrel of monkeys and I might not be up to my birthday fun next Saturday but I'm pretty upbeat about it.
