My childhood favorite team, some of my best memories are of watching the highlights of the 71 Series vs the Orioles ( Bob Robertson 3 run hr ftw!!) to the 79 champs, and of the early 90's teams when Barry Bonds couldn't hit shit in the playoffs. Finally after 20 years of suck they seem to be legitimately on their way back and maybe finally break that elusive .500 record. 1st place at the break, hope they can keep it going in the second half. Don't stop now, boys.

Hopefully they don't collapse like last year.

All this is due to the glorious pitching of AJ Burnett. Thank you Satan Elf.

I liked those 70s team, too. Pops Strargell, passed away..hmmm...good man...community...

I hopped on the bandwagon about this time last year and it promptly got four flats. I'm pulling for them.
You watch the Cub be Pirate killers the rest of the year. The Pirates will probably cost the Cub the first pick in the draft.
