The Score broadcast from Five Roses Pub a couple of weeks ago but Rosemon has built a really intereresting dining/drinking/entertainment center next to the Movico where the casino was supposed to have been built. They have a Kings bowling alley, Zanies, some Toby Keith hillbilly place, and a Hofbrauhouse that should be running for Oktoberfest. All of these places open on to a large park for concerts and movies. They allow "to go" cups for drinking while walking around the entire district. It's not completed yet but this is going to be a great place in the NW suburbs...it will also probably be mobbed up to the hilt as, afterall, this is Rosemont.

That's pretty cool. The Hafbrauhaus in NYC is a lot of fun. It's cool that they are putting one there.

The one in Munich is a lot of fun as well. If the concept is the same I could see this being a great place to party. It had the feel of Disney's entertainment area

I love what they have done with Rosemont. As much as I love downtown Chicago, its a pain in the ass to get to & from. All of my large business meetings used to be held downtown, but now are in Rosemont. Gibsons, Mortons, Carluccis, & now the casino & entertainment district make it a great place & its convenient.
Rosemont has really grown since Mike North became their spokesman.

Disney has more adult districts that include bars and restaurants on the Disneyworld property

Downtown Disney and Epcot were both drunken messes when we went there last week.

They've since returned to normal, I'm sure.

Going there after Labor Day with my parents, sister and bro in law, and my fiancee. I expect nothing less of Epcot now that I'm old enough to sample all of the wines/beers in World Showcase

How much was the average drink there? I hope its no worse than a ballpark.

Ballpark prices on pretty much everything, both alcohol and non-alcohol. It was just my wife and I and Hank Jr so we didnt indulge too much. I wish we had some more family there so we could have taken a spin around lagoon drinking from all 12 countries but perhaps some other time.

Avoid Downtown Disney though, dont even waste your time.

Where are you guys staying?

Pop Century. Not gonna be in the hotel much, so got the cheap room. My parents are paying for everything except airfare (free dining in September) because they want to have a family vacation before we all get married and have kids and they are too old to travel. We get there on a Saturday so we're gonna go to Downtown Disney for dinner and shopping that night, but won't be back. My fiancee and bro in law have never been so I'm sure they will like it there for a couple hours anyway.

Been there many times as a yute. Have stayed at the All Star, Dixie Landings/Port Orleans, Carribean Beach, Polynesian, and Yacht & Beach.

As a kid I liked Carribean Beach the best, though Port Orleans (riverside) was very nice too.

We stayed at the all star. I thought the same thing, we were barely in the room. No need to spend the money on the hotel when we spent all day and night in the parks.

If you are only there for a few days, just get the cheap room. Instead of going for a week every year, my parent used to take us for like 12-14 days every other year, so it was worth it for us to get the little better hotel since we would have some downtime to just hang out at the pool all day, rent boats, or whatever. This trip won't be like that though. Sea World Sunday, parks on Mon and Tues, golf on Weds, another park on Thurs, who knows on Fri and we come back the following Saturday.

But I mean there is SO much to do there, you could go there for a week, never step foot inside one of the parks, and still have a great time.

What dates will you be there?

We will be there the week after Labor day. Mothernlaw is taking the whole family as a retirement gift.

Might head down to Disney around Christmas with the GF. It's either there, NOLA, or San Diego.

fwiw, Disney's busiest time of the year is from like Dec 20 thru right after New Years.

We went the week after Christmas a few years ago. I have permanent scarring on the back of my legs/ankles from the amount of unintended stroller shots. Packed. It can still be a good time, but it's insanely busy. On a bright note, I did ride in an elevator with Tim Tebow. I'm banking on that when I'm on my deathbed. Yeah, I did all that other stuff, but.........

That's a stench you never fully wash off. Still unclean here.

The name of the entertainment district is "MB Financial Park." Our lifestyle malls sell naming rights now. This is some Infinite Jest shit here.
