Disagree, at least concerning the recent past. I do like Goff and I just hope he lets Mac get a few words in during the show.

I don't think Mac has been deferential to Goff in the past. He's not too passive on his own show usually. With any luck Goff will say something dumb and Mac will start giving him the business. That's when he's at his best.

Recently Spiegel has been excessively whiny, sensitive and passive aggressive. Hopefully, the long weekend will mellow him out and help curb his bitchness. He's a decent listen when he stops acting like a princess.

Apparently a Score online Top 10 most important Bears list as opposed to the breaking PSU news. Mac and his lists, oy. Really? I know you dont have to go Detective Bernstein on the case, but this Freeh report is pretty big news.

It is big news, but like Mac just said, if you want to hear about it you can find it everywhere online, including the Score website. I like that Mac is letting everyone know off the bat he doesnt have much interest in talking about it. And @ Goff saying he doesnt want to talk about it either, immediately followed by several reasons why its a huge story and they should talk about it. Definitely seems like he wishes he was on the afternoon show right now.

Well yeah, Mac conceded that they have to and will talk about it. I just hope they dont spend a ton of time on it and Im glad Mac is taking Mac's approach to it and not Bernstein's.

casual observation & a mini "FU" to Mac....

All week long, when I've listened, all I have heard him talk about is baseball allstar week and how he will never take this week off again because of how great it is that he doesn't have to watch or talk about sports for HIS FUCKING JOB!!!! They "spin more tunes" and talk about whatever other "topical" bullshit they think is interesting. Some is. Some is not.

Now he doesn't want to talk about Penn State or the report that just came out? OK...I really don't care...but tie that in to the whole "glorious" week he is having not talking sports....and then I say to Dan...just fucking leave then. Go do some other radio talk show format and don't burden yourself with this sport stuff. God forbid.

Ask yourself this Mac...why did you USED to take this week off? Why now, do you not want to take this week off? Maybe you have lost the "love" and maybe you are just playing out the 9-year-string you say you have left to labor through this heavy burden of sports talk!!

Just an observation...and I'll keep listening when I can / want.

dan akyroyd loves his liquor. he also owns the house of blues. i've had fun stories at the house of blues calling out his name with a bouncer who was two weeks before getting fired / sued-for-everything-he-owns for decking some chick. true story.
