No, it is not your job to talk for months about speculation and make stupid broad statemtents such as "The entire state loves child rape and should be bombed" and making jokes in between the serious voice.
As much as they bash ESPN, they did it the right way by talking in generalities until the trial was over to nail Sandusky. Then they waited for the report to come out to cite the facts. The fill in guys for Mike and Mike this moring did a great show about the report, better than anything these two have done.
If you want to be a "real, serious reporter" then stop making shit up and then switch from being pompous to being a goof about it. Waiting for facts helps, because I can not listen today to hear his view on the actual events because I am too burnt out by all his speculation.

That's not true. When news happened, it was covered from multiple angles. And they were all over the trial.

ESPN is usually useless, but they didn't ignore this story.

Actually... Deadspin, in their weekly 'bristolmetrics' segment a few weeks ago concluded espn spent 45seconds on the first week of the sandusky trial... So yeah, they kinda avoided it til the verdict.
