Such a meatball comment by Danny B.

Reports say #Paterno statue stays, due to fear of negative reaction. Secretive, dangerous, enabling environment stays, too, then.

I believe his point is the same mentality that allowed everything to happen is being exhibited with the statue decision.

The thing I don't understand is why does Bernstein feel it's his sole responsibilty to take down Penn State. I mean that has to be the only reason for spending SO much time on the Penn State ordeal, right?

While it may not stop it....it will at least stop the celebrating of the life of a man who looked the other way and allowed it to happen in order to maintain the glorification of himself and his football team.

It won't change anything but it will remove a daily reminder of a guy who ruined his legacy by covering up something that wasn't likely going to hurt the program anyway.

Statue needs to go. How Penn State doesn't realize this is amazing. It is symbolic of Paterno's cover up of child rape.

Now, this is different than drinky wanting to demolish the stadium and build a new one.

Taking down the statue wouldn't cost money, nor would it benefit the football program. In fact, they should auction the statue off and give the money to the child rape victims. I guarentee you some "Joe Paterno sycophant" would pay millions for it. Might even be Phil Knight or Matt Millen.

Might as well go. In this day and age, you don't need libraries.

But, since it's there alreday there, they shouldn't tear it down. But they need to change the name. Isn't it the "Joe Paterno Library"?

That statue is to child rape victims what a swastika is to concentration camp survivors. It really needs to be taken down. It's offensive to everybody, but hurts the victims more.

Sadly, it seemed like an explanation was needed.

If you drop the statue from a height onto Sandusky it would help.

While at CAMP Dan was picked on by a kid named Murph.
Murph would often toss little Danny into a 10 lb bag and make him listen to Lee Greenwoods God Bless the USA.

Late one night little Danny and his trusty sidekicks Maddux Boy and Stan from Bellwood broke into camp counselor Boers office.
They got into Murphs files and learned his goal in life was to play football at Penn State and to Promote Child Rap.
Unfortunately Dans White Sox flashlight was low on power and he read Rap as Rape.

It was at that point that Dan made his revenge list.
His parents for not wanting him around.
He would get a job in sports radio but pick a school that would cost them at least $200k.

Anyone named Murph.

Penn State

Promoting Child Rape.
Had he read the file correctly he could have stopped Kriss Kross and Little Bow Wow from making music.

I know it's Penn State people, but with their home opener 7 weeks away, do they do a moment of Silence for Paterno before the game still, I imagine they had stuff planned for Paterno for that game since he died.

Yeah, the fact that kids got raped and were allowed to continually be raped under the watch of a 'legendary - Mr. Perfect' football coach.
