I mentioned Tuesday to a Scott Van Pelt fan I'd get the specifics on his 1 pm hour. Among men 25-54, SVP posted a 3.3, which ranked 13th in the market. The Score was 3rd, behind both FM rockers, the Drive and the Loop.

Worthy of a mention.... somebody asked me the other day how Jonathan Brandmeier is doing in mornings on WGN. The answer is "not good." In the adults 25-54 category (women included, which usually favored him) ... Johnny B was (clears throat) 23rd. There are stations I've never heard of ahead of the '80s Loop legend. Wow.

Mac - nobody had answered this for me yet. I'd love it if you could.

Do the ratings take into account people who watch ESPN2 to listen to Mike and Mike? If M&H were simultaneously broadcast on cable tv don't you think it would adversely effect their ratings?

Score was 3rd with a 3.3... what did SVP do to get 13th? How big a difference are we talking here? I actually pretty well like SVP and Ryen Russillo, but that one-hour time slot makes it pretty impossible for them to compete against any show.

Well then people would have to look at them, and that wouldn't be good for anything FF.

Arbitron ratings are compiled by little gadgets that report the radio signals you hear up to a giant satellite like some schizophrenic's worst nightmare, so no.

Are you arguing that Mike and Mike have less listeners because people who are watching television would otherwise choose to listen to them on the radio? This isn't the 1940s. People don't choose to listen to the radio rather than watch something.

What are the ratings for SVP when Spiegs talks about the Most Interesting Baby in the World.

Don't shit on his joy.
You have just earned one lucky member of the production staff an on-air verbal beat down.
