I'm done with this place. They have seriously gone way down hill since they were bought out by Gordon Biersch a couple years back. The food quality has become dreadful, and even the beer has taken a hit in quality. The wife got a giftcard for her birthday a month ago, and we decided to go there last night. We have already had another disappointing visit a few months ago, and this was even worse.

The Pulled Pork I ordered tasted like a sloppy joe, and even the fries were bad. How do you screw up french fries? I never thought this place was greatest thing ever, but they used to be consistently good.

Went to the one in Orland Park a bunch of times....it was ok.

When did GB buy them out?

I think in 2010.

I think they've been on a gradual decline since that time. The last two times I've gone have been terrible though.

The place always sucked. Never understood how people kept going there.

Not that I didn't enjoy it, but this place always felt to me like if Chili's opened up a brewery. It felt like a forced authentic brewery that likely shipped in the beer from a factory somewhere in Illinois while brewing just enough on site to call themselves a brewery.

They never opened one in Schaumburg, so they are definitely not as good as Chili's.

Their Mug Club is actually interesting, as it addresses two of my favorite former pasttimes:

1) Binge drinking in public
2) Paying upwards of $1000 for a glass mug.

I haven't been to one since the buyout but they the beer at the location varied depending on the local brewmaster. The one I went to in San Diego had 4 house beers on tap as always but the local stuff the guy made was really good.

I went to one in San Diego and thought it was terrible.
I was pissed because it was a reunion dinner at a conference and the organizer picked a chain restaurant with less than average food. Was Applebee's full?

I went to the La Jolla one and it was probably 7 or 8 years ago. You had to drink the seasonal beers only though.
