How am I going to know what the other host's name is without Larry saying it every minute?

I see what you did there.
It's one of the many reasons I wish Lerry would take up surfing in Australia.

Yeah, the Leery/Dan combo is just insufferable.

I agree.

Not for the sake of agreeing, but for the sake of taking a shot at the SHAKE DAN combination.

What is the origin of the "Shake That" statement and LoHo? I haven't heard him much, is it something he says a lot?

Opening song to his show used to be Shake That by LMFAO. That may or may not be the actual name of the song.

When they moved Leery to evenings, his opening theme was an LMFAO song that went "par-par-party rock, L-M-F-A-O...SHAKE THAT!" It was about as burrito as a variety of delicious foods wrapped in unleavened bread, and everyone here made fun of him for it until he changed it. Then we kept doing it anyway.

EDIT: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=47qgSFZ2tmY

EDIT 2: There used to be a fucking hilarious video of an azn kid dancing in his back yard to this with glowing lyrics superimposed on the screen but it's gone now! :(

Wow thanks to iTunes, I am now versed on that song. Can you say burritos as big as your head, no pun intended?

SHAKE THAT was so much more than a song. it was a movement.... it was a way of life. when the clock struck 6:00 you literally heard the countdown and once you heard PARTY ROCK.... L-M-F-A-O SHAKE THAT your command set was uploaded.... your societal program was ready to rip... you let go of all preconceived notions and SHOOK THAT no matter where you were. sure, you might have to explain to people why you were seemingly busting out impromptu dance moves, but that was brilliant viral marketing for Laurence and his 4 hours of show crammed into 25 minutes before White Sox baseball. You know, back when there was the Laurence Holmes drinking game where you could get piss drunk in 30 minutes if you drank each time he mentioned facebook or he mentioned how he had sooooooo much to cover in so little time.

Long story short, the song was a call to arms for those of us in the People's Movement to drop what we were doing and "get jiggy with it" in the 2010s. It was a triumphant victory of art over monotony... it's no coincidence that James Bond likes his martinis SHAKEN and not stirred. Laurence used to have his fingers on THE PULSE of his listening audience, but now he's lost with some anonymous opening song that blends into a droll boring non-captivating start to a show that is heavily ridiculed on here. I try and tell Laurence to bring back SHAKE THAT but alas, it seems like Laurence has grown up and moved on and started listening to THE MAN instead of THE PEOPLE, hence us only getting one hour a show as opposed to the whole damn show like we used to get back in 08-10.

When I used to listen on the way home, I would be done by 5:15. Therefore, I never had the pleasure of shake that. Over the years, I have only caught LoHo in small amounts typically when he subbed in or provided a report on someone else's show. I never had an issue with him. I felt he pandered a lot to the hosts, and I could see where it would wear on a listener. From what has been described on these boards, it sounds like he is a little creepy with the ladies. And to open with that song....yikes, what was he thinking? What's next, "I got a feeling......"

UGH

From what has been described on these boards, it sounds like Mully and Hanley aren't as popular as other hosts.

Regardless who's riding shotgun with Bernsy today, the guys are nipped all week for red hot White Sox baseball in the Eastern Time zone. They're done at 5:35p regardless for the "Horseshoe Casino/White Sox Radio Network Pregame" for White Sox/Red Sox in Boston. Not that it matters, but is Chris Rongey back from his weekend illness?

From what has been described on these boards, Terry Boers is not as knowledgeable as he often claims.

Well, the Chris Chelios-looking Mike Esposito, who wasn't supposed to host over the weekend, hosted a 3 hour, 30 minute Saturday afternoon show in place of Ben Finfer. Espo was also pressed into service to guest host "White Sox Weekly" and Wayne Randazzo did pre & post for Saturday's White Sox/Royals' game, a 6-3 Kansas City win.

Connor McKnight handled the duties yesterday, a 2-1 White Sox winner in the All-Star duties. In plain English, Rongey was really, really sick. Probably that 14 inning marathon that didn't end until around 12:30a Saturday morning must have done something to Rongey's health...

The Ranger has done a decent job in the Daily Herald. I give my newspaper credit for beefing up their sports section with Spiegs, Ranger, and Len Kasper. I still think he toes the company line too much, sapping the value of his opinions, but it is better than nothing.

Here's the Monday Game Plan w/Bernsy & Rosey:

*2P: The SCORE/Pro Football Weekly/Westwood One/Dial Global Radio Network's Hub Arkush-Matt Forte Reaction
*3P: The SCORE/Chicago Tribune/NF Post's Matt Bowen-More Forte Reaction
*3:30P: "The Second Half"

"Scoreboard Updates": Connor McKnight

As advertised, the guys are done at 5:35P for the "Horseshoe Casino/White Sox Radio Network Pregame", hopefully with Chris Rongey at the SCORE Studios. First pitch in Boston's Fenway Park at 6:10P with Joe Ostrowski hosting a solo latenight show following the "Xfinity Postgame" this eve around 9:30p-ish until Midnight.
