Guys, I think there's one other reason why Bernsy's devoting so much to Penn State. What does he tell his own kids? This is pretty strong stuff we're dealing with, and if it means less silliness from these two, so be it.

It would be nice if Terry did not open his mouth during interviews. He adds nothing.

Id tell my kids

Daddy is a sports radio host. So while we mention the PSU story and the important details, we just cant base our whole show on it, thats not why people tune in.

OK, can we end this fucking interview, already?

Another puncing bag/ sounding board for B&B to use so they can feel high and mighty? I'm sure they were hoping that he would take a "Pro-Paterno" stance so they could bravely stand up to this bully, pro-child rape enthusiast Mr. Astroino. They way BernSTINE was trying to corner him with the "Letter", and the "clearly" and "Well, you would have to agree that...." and now with them admonishing him with "everything he did is wiped out!"...and with BernSTINES talking down to voice "Drew, I mean, these things happened when you were playing, running through the tunnel!" And of course, "We aren't making a lot of progress here...." so this wasn't about an interview, it was about trying to corner an unsuspecting person from out of state on the radio and CONVERT HIM TO THE LIGHT!!!!

This kid should have never called in.

Dan and Terry kept circling back and using some good old fashioned interview language devices to try and corner him. Either to "convert him" to feel as though they saved a Pro-Child Rape ex-dumb jock or to hammer him if he took a very strong Pro-Paterno stance. They kinda got neither.

I thought the interview went pretty good. I thought the young man came off well spoken and made a good point in the fact that all of this horrible acts do not represent him. Let's also be honest about all of this, no matter what B&B say right now about this many of you are going to continue to complain about the story being the main point of the show.

I was a little surprised that a guy who was so connected to the program as a team captain last year and who would take it upon himself to call into the show and want to talk about this deal would not have read over the report. I would think that if I were in his shoes and would want to get out a message from the side of the players that I would know all the information about the situation.

Can the Penn State talk get a breather after the legal ID & Rodie's "Scoreboard Update"?

Bernstein sounds ridiculous with this Penn State crap now. We all know what happened and we all know it was bad and horrible, so why the need to pound everyone in the face with it day in and day out. Bernstein has stepped over that line of simply reporting news, and has entered into mad obsession territory. The question is, why?

Seriously? YOu really think that B&B (or any other sports radio program) are just supposed to report the news?

Give me a break.

Does it really need one?

Why would a sports radio program only "report the news"? The whole sports radio program format is based on talking about opinions about sports.

You'll soon find this lengthy Drew Astorino interview on BoersandBernstein.com. Will Joe Ostrowski tonight or Connor McKnight tomorrow replay this interview on their late night shows after the White Sox/Red Sox game?

Do you realize how much they've reported this?? This has already gone miles beyond "reporting the news", and is now into obsession territory. What do you dispute about that? And in case you didn't know, this isn't Pennsylvania News Radio. Sandusky was convicted, Paterno is dead. Story has been told sufficiently for my Chicago Sports radio listening self.

Maybe because he's a young adult, fresh out of college and on his way to a job interview? He has more important things to do and he def. made a mistake calling in, he was dangerously close to going a bit to far into the "Pro-Paterno" area and Danny would have slammed him on air, Bernsie was lookin' for it if the opportunity presented itself.

And yes, BernSTINE is totally obsessed with this story in a very creepy and unnerving way. He goes to weddings and goes on the air and brags about "convincing" people at the wedding about his Child Rape points of view? He needs help and Mac needs to be in the 1-6 slot until Danny goes to therapy and gets some help.

He needs to come to terms with the fact that he hosts a sports radio show in the 3rd largest market and isn't uncovering political espionage or reporting live from a warzone.

Also, I'm really, really trying to listen today as it's been a long while.....but the show is coming up on 3 hours now and it's been ALL Penn St. and not anything new or breaking, just beating a dead horse. Has it been 50% or more dedicated to Penn St. for the last 2-3 weeks?

But my point is that they are not in the business of reporting the news. Their aim every day regardless of the story is to cross the line from reporting the news. You don't like the subject of the show then feel free to punch the button. But it just sounds stupid to hammer them for doing what they are paid to do.

I don't know if obsessed is the right word in regards to how Terry & Dan B. are devoting a lot of their show to this Penn State scandal.

I will say this. No one is going to care about Penn State football this fall when head coach Bill O'Brien and the 2012 Nittany Lions take the gridiron. All you're going to hear from football commentators this fall during Penn State games will have a lot to do with the scandal.

This scandal was so big when it broke last fall, I didn't think Penn State should've played those last 2 games on their schedule. Quite frankly, this scandal was so big, it overshadowed whatever the team was trying to do on the field & I think it'll continue to do so for quite sometime.

I wish we could go back in time and go through the OJ story with B&B every day.
