Regarding the kids, midnight, 7 pm, noon... a 6 year old shouldn't be seeing this movie.

Although when our first was born, we did take him to a few movies. He just slept in his carseat and we always sat in the seats right by the exit just in case. Never had a problem. Never went at midnight though.

Wow, really sad. Just reading now about Jessica Redfield. She was a hockey journalist and had just witnessed a shooting in Toronto. Kind of creepy to read her last tweet @JessicaRedfield MOVIE DOESNT START FOR 20 MINUTES.

I had 2 separate families that brought their young children with them to see Prometheus not too long ago. I'm talking 4-6 year old's. I'm not sure that movie was the best thing for them too see...because they scared and crying.

12 hours in a movie theater and it flew by. may be the best movie I've ever seen. I thought about that before I typed it but I cant remember ever enjoying a film as much as I enjoyed RISES. When you take into account expectations, drama, intensity, action, acting, story line and characters, I can say thats the most I've been entertained by a movie.

No spoilers from me.

Nolans a genius.

345am show. Theater was mostly full. They still had posters and lanyards from the trilogy/midnight showing. They were doing trivia questions for the items. Some D-bag yelled out an answer to every question. (Not me)

Movie was great. Did not feel like 3 hours. Re-watch... maybe a matinee where I can get in for 5 bucks. IMAX was good and really loud. Flashbacks were very brief and this makes a great standalone movie and did not feel like a third installment/Part III.
Anne Hathaway was smoking hot and kicked-ass. Michael Caine wins an Oscar for best supporting actor. Lay a dollar or two on that in Vegas, Bigfan.

Got back from screening two...

...still holding up for me.

Certainly have to see it in a proper IMAX though. The first screening I went to had the giant screen but not the same quality.

For those that have seen it already, would you say it is better than The Dark Knight?

No.

But that's like saying a handjob isn't better than a blowjob.

Question:

How did watching all 3 in a row feel? Did the trilogy feel like one solid story or 3 distinct films?

I don't think so. Dark Knight was a 10. This was a 9.5.

Still excellent, but Joker made that movie phenomenal.

It's certainly on par with the Dark Knight. I think Ledger's performance probably makes Dark Knight better, but this was still a fantastic movie.

Its hard to say but I enjoyed seeing all three in IMAX even though I'v seen the first two a dozen times. My wife commented to me that she wondered how many people there were seeing the first two for only their second time. If that were the case for me, it would have seemed more like a solid story. The IMAX was well worth the extra money. My theater was so loud at times though it was hard to understand Bane sometimes. I wonder how many others had the same problem understanding BANE's dialogue with the loud sound and his mask.

Yeah it was kind of tough. Kind of had to piece it together from context.

Yes. The Joker angle is understandable but I will let you guys decide. My earlier post explains it for me. I want so bad to give the parts that won me over in making it better than Dark Knight but Ii will wait a couple of weeks.

It takes a lot to beat the last film. In my opinion Nolan pulled it off.

I thought it was fantastic. I'd have to watch the Dark Knight again to confirm it, but I think this one might be better. I had little issue w/ the Sean Connery sounding Bain, but that was only w/ a few lines. Bain was one of the best villains in any comic book movie. Anne Hathaway was surprising great as Catwoman.

Very engaging story. Didn't seem to drag @ all. Nick Digilio can go suck a nut.

Quick note, I just noticed I misspelled Bane. Maybe I was confusing him w/ Conrad Bane... I mean Bain.

It's the liberal media putting Bain Capital in your mind.

Bastards.

I'll try to avoid posting any spoiler-related for now, but my thoughts in general:

Loved Catwoman...she was smoking hot in this and her character worked really well with the others she interracted with...

Also enjoyed Bane...I agree with the comments that he sounded very Connery-like at times but I didn't have a problem with it...I actually enjoyed the way he spoke, with many of his lines ending with the pitch in his voice going up (crashing this plane!)

Michael Cain...yeah, pretty sure I read Donspiracy saying he deserved a nomination for supporting actor...not sure he will get it, but I would fully support it...not a lot of him there, but when he is, damn was he good...especially loved the last two times we see him on camera.

Now that I'm finally able to tell what sequences were shot in IMAX, gotta say they did really well with those sequences...the opening scene and the first time we see Batman were visually stunning.

I liked the Connery thing, too. Added a touch of class to the character.

I love how every review includes:

Catwoman was great because she was so hot.......

Oh yeah - and she was really, really good at acting too!
