As Rodney Erickson struggles with the most important decision ever in the history of Penn State, we're left to wonder when will foursquare tear down its Joe Paterno Statue check-in. As everyone knows, the foursquare page has become the symbol of this social media statuary controversy and emotions are running high.

The board of trustees for foursquare is aware of both sides of the debate and are hesitant to offend either. One source with knowledge of the gchats between foursquare founders has said "Seriously? There's a fucking Joe Paterno Statue check-in?" Another source said "Who in their right mind would waste time checking in to a statue?" and "Should we just close up shop, has this social experiment gone too far?"

All valid questions.

There is a lot of speculation that the penalty will also be a multi-year television ban for them. That I can actually see happening. It does hurt some other schools but fans can get over the fact that they can't watch one game a year on television.

This is how Joe Paterno will be remembered. He may have built up Penn State but he destroyed it too. That is fitting and probably the worst punishment of all. Joe Paterno would be devastated with what is happening to PSU on Monday. That's the ultimate punishment to him.

I agree with you, but Posthumous Punishment doesn't really stir the loins.
