Surprisingly, we don't have a fire pit ban. Either that or I missed it.

You brought your computer camping? I'm guessing this camping trip wasn't your idea, right?

You're at a camp ground that allows cable and internet but bans fires? Don't take this the wrong way but you are doing camping wrong.

They normally allow fires, there are county burn bans across most of indiana

Llike I said, its quasi camping at best. We play bags, go to the water park and cook out and drink around the fire. (Usually)

Its nice having an Air conditioned camper to sleep in during a summer like this

and the cable ensures never missing a big game.

Bagels wants to camp, not Kcamp

I got way too drunk last night.

I may have to make some apologies today. (Nothing bad, just being loud and obnoxious)

This belongs in the euphemism thread. Aren't you a bit too young for this to happen, Brain.

It was fun. We ended up at Hideaway Lakes in Yorkville. Kinda hickish, but it was fine. It didn't have the best water for swimming and it was a little pricier than a state park, but given that we had about 36 hours to change plans, it was fine. Nice big sites, we were as loud as we wanted to be, nobody really gave us any issues. I doubt we would go back there just because of the lack of cleaner swimming water but it was a great weekend. Next year we will be taking a look at one of those parks you suggested for sure.

rpb,

was the ban ever lifted? Did you smoke one up anyways?

No, man they're pretty militant. Made our neighbors put out their tiki torches.

They say they need 5 or 6 inches of rain to consider lifting it.

Right.

What?

My social life consists of me, sitting alone by my fire pit in the backyard drinking beer. But I haven't been able to use my fire pit this year. :?

Honestly, this drought and these wildfires have affected a lot of farmers and other people.

But I think you and I have suffered the most

Wow. You brought an entire desktop computer with you camping and ran extension cords and an ethernet cable out to your fire pit? How much did the desk weigh?
