If buying sports stuff is talking about money than you guys have a lot to learn .I'm the most humble guy you ever want to meet . If helping people out who don't have money is being a pompus ass than I'm guilty as charged . I own a business in where I get tons of stuff sent to me free and I like to give it away.

My education and hard work has given my family the right to put food on it . If I share some funny stories with you guys and some don't like it or think it's boasting it's not meant to do that . I didn't post the picture of Cheli up here for all to see that was Grid being Grid .

I'm sure that he is a swell fellow too. But the question asked was fair based on his original post and subsequent replies.

And next time if you feel like your being picked on, feel free to PM someone directly, or just tell promotions that you don't want the jersey.

If you are that generous and considerate, you wouldn't have wasted their time and effort on the phone or in getting the jersey to you. Plus the grief they may have received from Mac or mgt that was totally unnecessary if you didn't want or need the prize.

Ed's generosity to people here is documented. I don't understand why someone would have a problem with him - he's generally the most likeable guy on this board.

Plenty of people know what kind of a guy Ed is, and that isn't based off of about three posts here. He's given people tickets, invited them out to golf, and invited them over to Casa de Slapshot. That's not flaunting anything other than a decent personality.

And this thread was never about principles. Those are things that we hopefully hold dear. Not something we claim and return on a whim.

I think I pointed that out that it was about principals . Read my first post again . People Like Ryan , Mus and others had won things and never got them and either had to go to Mac or others. I was pointing out that a person called me from that station weeks ago and told me it was being sent out . Never showed. If I wiped my ass with it and threw it away that's my business and has nothing to do with your bitching and moaning about it .

The sending it back to them was a joke to an email I sent to them during the week about a jersey drive they should have . Again , if you want it I'll send it to you .


The things that people get upset about on this board crack me up .I'm really enjoying this . Thanks to all the guys for the lickage as well but I don't need it . If I'm going to let people on a message board tell me how to think and what I should and should not do at the age of 40 , I'll move back in with my parents. I respect you Programmer but we will agree to disagree I guess. Show up at the Joliet remote and you can buy me a soda.
