Wow if you missed the interview with Da Coach I'm sorry that was amazing. Not did he make his point, he called Gene Upshaw a crook and a thief. Nice

I have a ton of respect for Ditka. I think Harry was incorrect when he said Ditka sold his Super Bowl ring from his time with the Cowboys though. It was his NFC Championship ring - but it's more than Gene Upshaw has done for old-time players in need.

I'm sure if Ditka's lookin' for a toe-to-toe with that douchebag Gene Upshaw, he'll get one in court for making his comments today.

Usually the guy that runs the union is PRO-union members. I don't know what the hell Upshaw does.

Furthermore, if their is an investigation with Upshaw, they might as well broaden the investigation as to WHY the NFL Network can televise NFL games, and no other network got to bid on that.

I would LOVE for the NFL Hall of Famers to boycott this year's inductions, especially since Michael Irvin is getting inducted. Then again, Irvin's ego will require the entire stage. ;)

Funny, because I find myself having next to no respect for Ditka.

That was a good interview and the best I think I've ever heard Ditka on the radio/tv. Being passionate about a topic takes things up to a whole new level. Much like Jurko today also. When he spoke on this topic he was getting his point across in a lucid manner with his own thoughts.

Upshaw's a dick but the current NFL players need to shove this agenda down his throat.

Jurko was on with Chet a couple of months ago, and he was VERY fiery. I was impressed as all hell.

I think Harry and Jurko are caricatures of themselves from 3-7. Harry isn't such an over the top homer and Jurko isn't as marblemouthed when not on their show.

The problem with this NFL thing Ditka is championing, and the farce of an NFL 'concussion study' that HBO's Real Sports reported on the past week is that it really opens the flood gates for BOATLOADS of lawsuits. Hell, they showed Gene Atkins, who is only in his early 40s, and his brains were scrambled already.

That was a great interview today. Da Coach sounds like he hopes to run into Upshaw in a US Senate hearing.

He threw down the gauntlet quite decisively.

I thought it was a good interview, too. For once, he wasn't playing "DA COATCH!"like he does on Countdown and he was just plain Mike Ditka.

Hmm, I always thought that Ditka was a loud and proud member of a certain political party that hates unions and trial lawyers...

...except when that union represents him and his interests, SAG or the NFL, etc.

Sure, well I'd expect we can extend that all tv & radio guys -- anyone with an on-air and off-air personna.Or do you think if Mac worked in accounting, that he'd be so strident in his opinions on 70s/80s rock? Sports?

Having said that, I don't know if that means Jesse Rogers isn't as dumb as he makes himself to appear...

If the Dems cut him a deal to run for office, you'd see Ditka the liberal populist. All means to an end...

If I ever ran for anything, it'd be under the "Beebo Poltical Party" banner. No catch-phrases; no clear cut answers except to the simplest of questions. Also why I'd fail to even place...

Mr. Score, I see he no longer owns a restaurant, he's no longer a gazillionaire, not doing anything for charity - he's not the same. Good call!

I'd agree on the part about Jurko. If Harry is anything but a homer he has been playing that role ever since he started his undeserved career in the industry.
