So....Mac, what's it like to be in reality au natural?
Since I get TSA'd every flight, I'm only "there" when I'm on vacation. But I'm not sure if that really counts since there is stimulation inherent in the "vacation" activities.

I sense a "fire and passion" that hasn't been there recently....or is it restlessness since you haven't been slowing the brain down chemically?

We've taken the alcohol free days. She's dragging me to the gym....
I want to, but don't really want to. I know it would help with motivation from artistic endeavors...nothing kills it quicker than beer.

The short answer is I'm decidedly more productive. In all areas. I've had a few "wouldn't it be nice if...." moments, but for the most part, I haven't missed it.

Happy to talk with you more extensively about this privately, Doug. I'm reluctant to do much of it here or on the show. Comes across as preachy or "born again."

Sober Mac is bringing da fire and da passion. Keep up with the ball busting Mac, regardless if it might hurt some feelings. Who needs friends when you have creepy listeners that will come to your house and paint your house for you.

Pretty much all of them to a certain extent. Its like Spring Training where there is a veteran with something to prove, or this pitcher dropped weight or whatever.

On every Bears report, we will likely hear something to the extent of at least one of these;
-Cutler looks great
-Hester is running good routes
-OLine looks solid
-Major Wright got burned X amount of times today (which is a bad eyeroll as opposed to a "this is an awful story" eyeroll)
-Players 'love' the no 2 a days

Yep. Football season has truly arrived when Mac starts salivating over several football players well formed asses and huge throbbing wieners.
