ESPN reporting that Illinois has coaches on PSU campus today to recruit Lions players. Illini assistant AD confirmed it.

Illini coaches with no shame. Wonder what the PA stalkers rules look like.

I read the Rittenberg post on the Illinois coaches at PSU. I'm having a hard time figuring out what the Illini did wrong here? Illinois informed PSU's AD about Illinois' intentions and they are contact PSU players. What did the NCAA expect would happen? The NCAA relaxed the rules. I'm just pissed NU ain't there on campus.

I find it quite funny and don't really have a problem with it. Maybe it makes the Illini look like they are poking a soon to be dead body, but who cares.

Are there that many good players currently at PSU for people to fight over? It isn't like PSU has been really good and now people get to take their players.

We are talking Illinois here. Not USC or Alabama.

If a kid wants to leave that is fine. I'm not a fan of coaches actually trying to convince a kid to leave who doesn't really want to.

I actually agree. They are still under scholarship for another program AND still on the team. They should only be free game if they publicly announce their intentions to leave the program.

Allegedly, the Illini have a red shirt lineman from PSu coming.

Michael Kay compared schools circling Penn State for players to trying to pick up a widow at her husband’s funeral.

I would say Silas Redd is the only decent player from Penn State and there's talk of USC there.

It does seem like they always have some good defensive players though.

I hope I didn't step over the line when I sent some Playboy strippers over to the PSU dorms to pass out some stacks of cash with the following note -

They're from Penn State. You need to spell things out pretty clearly.

I think that's really just looking at starters though... you can certainly make yourself a better team by adding some depth at other positions and poaching off some freshmen/redshirt guys.

That being said, I'm not sure Illinois would be a second choice to PSU, but there's no harm in the Illini coaches giving it the ol' college try.

If I were an incoming freshman, I would be out of there already. No way I'm wasting away for four years for some pederass-loving school.

In what I find to be a hilariously ironic announcement, Bret Beilema and Pat Fitzgerald have announced they will not recruit Penn State players.

They're too busy stealing Iowa's recruits.
