I know we have had these threads before but I don't think many read on a consistient basis here.
With summer vacations and holidays people tend to read more while travelling so just curious if
anyone had any recent finds. I just finished a book I really enjoyed which I will mention below.
I'll be going on a long business trip and was just curious if anyone had suggestions. I am open
to pretty much anything.

Book I just finished was called The Art of Fielding. Amazon description below....

One of my NYE resolutions was to read a book a month this year. We are now in July and I have read 12 books to date. This feat was obviously simple for me to accomplish as I have a Masters degree and am able to read many different types of words, thus making me intellectually superior to most of you.

Any of the Game of Thrones books.

No. Reading sucks.

Funny thing. My eyes are starting to go recently and it totally killed my interest in reading. Now, all I have to do is put on a pair of cheaters, but still, I figure if I can't do it naturally, I don't want to do it at all.

Lamb is a great book. If you liked that I'd suggest "a dirty job" by the same author. His other books are okay. I've been reading the complete works of Sherlock Holmes. I also read the Mistborn trilogy by Sanderson, they were great.

Definitely enjoyed "A Dirty Job" as well. Just finished "Bloodsucking Fiends" the other day.

I've read "It's So Easy (And Other Lies) - The Duff Mckagan autobiography. (Fantastic read).

All 3 books in the "Fifty Shades" trilogy. My wife made me read them after she fell in love with them, and I thank her for that.

And I've started "Liverpool football club: You'll never walk alone" on my Kindle, though I prefer actual paper based books.

Coming up next, Hitch-22.

A very underrated book. I find it on par w/ the Illuminatus! Trilogy, but much less complicated.

Was looking for something light to read the next 2 weeks before my trip so I picked up The
Hunger Games trilogy. I'm about 100 pages into the first book and it is pretty good. Interesting
story idea, kind of like The Running Man for young adults. I'll probably pick up Game Of Thrones
for the trip. I picked it up and at over 700 pages of small type it just seemed a bit too daunting
for me right now. I may even need to buy some readers.

Did some light reading earlier when I read The Godfather. Good read if you have never read it. It also goes into details on certain things that they didn't in the movie and some of the things in the movie that were very detailed were not as big in the book.
