It appears Theo is contracting them all by himself.

Yes. Very misleading thread title Brick. You're above this kind of shock thread-starting.

He'd want to contract the Red Sox & Yankees.

Well everyone he promised a team to in Tampa is probably dead now anyways, so that works out fine.

Team #2.....................?

Houston....nope....
San Diego? Not after they get the new TV deal and start spending
Pittsburgh?..............................?

Pittsburgh & Minnesota have new stadiums, so no.

Houston is a pretty big market w/ an influential fanbase (Barbara Bush), so no.

This would be my list:

Oakland
Kansas City
Arizona
Colorado
Cincinnati or Cleveland
Detroit
Baltimore

Tampa. They have a shitty old venue and no working plan for a new park....and regardless of how good they are 80 yr old yankee fans will not attend unless.....the yankees are playing them.

Most of the teams you've listed have "new" stadiums. KC just had a major renovation (which, you know, Jerry can relate to also).

I'm not sure Jerry cares about new stadiums for other teams (except for the Cubs, obviously).

UMN - he means what other team besides Tampa. That's a given.

I believe only Detroit has a new stadium. The League probably cares about new stadiums, so The Chairman's opinion on that may not matter if it differs.

In that case...probably Oakland or Arizona.

Oakland
Kansas City
Arizona - newer than the Cell
Colorado - newer than the Cell
Cincinnati or Cleveland - both newer than the Cell
Detroit - newer than the Cell
Baltimore - newer than the Cell

I did this off of the top of my head, but pretty sure I'm close. Cinncy is newer than Detroit for sure.

The Cell's fucking ancient. I didn't know that was the barometer.

BTW, fuck Cincinnati.

I'm just saying, from Jerry's perspective, all of those stadiums are "new".
