Kudos to ZZ for not playing in Mac's kindergarten, childish bullshit. ZZ has a job he has to do, let him do it. Nope, Mac does his best to shit on him and then attack him on the air even when ZZ signs off. Pretty lame Mac-O. It just rubbed my rhubarb the wrong way.

Mac....back to being fat, angry and immature.

Zach sucks though.....like really badly

Eh. I don't have a problem with ZZ as a person but, yes, his job that he has to do sucks. His good at being the propaganda arm of Halas Hall...which is his job.

Mac can keep his gay ass bullshit.

Grow some nuts, Mac, and take it up with him in private.

That or don't have him on.

He doesn't like Zach because he isn't a pessimist on all things Bears like he is.

Let's also not forget that ZZ is also part of the Bears' Radio Network team. He, Jeff Joniak & Tom Thayer have to watch what they say...

His job is not to be the propaganda arm of Halas Hall. He's a Bears reporter for the Score.

Now, when he does that Bears All Access show maybe he needs to act differently but not in his capacity with the Score.

Is it just me or does ZZ always seem to act serious, regardless if he's on The SCORE or on 780 WBBM-AM/105.9 WCFS-FM on Bears' Radio Network duty? Just wondering...

Holy shitpile .... I had avoided listening to that kid's rendition on purpose, but now that I'm listening to it, she deserves every bit of derision she's received, and then some.

This anthem is quite a thing. I believe the singer is 11 years old, though. I heard a brief interview with her this morning.

It may have been with M&H this morning. She was on and the second I heard her say "God has a plan for this..." I immediately PTFB. No, God didn't have a plan. Your parents and/or singing coach had ulterior motives. STFU!

Are the Bears paying him to appear on Mac's show?

ZZ can't be overly critical because of his need to maintain relationships inside Halas Hall and with the players on the field....same with Larry. The Bears don't pay him in ducats but they do pay him with interviews, info(I guess) and access. No excuses for him, it's how the game is played.

Now, when he reports to the Sandy Vagina Show, ZZ tells them what he sees and hears. Mac and Meat ask questions and then it's over. What else do they expect?

Don't the people that book these "singers" for the National Anthem actually, you know, listen to them before they trot them out there to embarrass the nation?

I can totally understand trying to protect your relationships with the team and players, but ZZ is over the top. He is almost at Blackhawk beat writer level...

I am sure ZZ is a good guy, but he has always just seemed like a PR guy rather then reporter.

The problem is that his information is useless so whatever access he gets is wasted. If he filters out all but the most positive information then he's not doing his job for the Score.

Here's the Tuesday Game Plan from Bears' Camp:

*3:40P: Baseball Prospectus' Kevin Goldstein-White Sox/Cubs/MLB Trade Deadline Talk
*5P: Rangers/FS Southwest's Anthony Andro-C Geovany Soto Texas Bound

"Scoreboard Updates": Connor McKnight

Terry's "two favorite words in show business", Laurence Holmes, follows the guys with "Xfinity Feedback Zone Live" @ 6P. Holmes leads into Chris Rongey's "Horseshoe Casino/White Sox Radio Network Pregame" @ 6:35P for White Sox/Twins. First pitch...7:10P from Target Field. Just like last night, "SCORE Overnight" with Les Grobstein & Adam Harris follows Rongey's "Xfinity Postgame". They're interrupted at Midnight for Westwood One/Dial Global Radio Network's "Live in London" wrapup of the day's activities from the Games of the XXX Summer Olympiad. Grobstein & Harris resume "SCORE Overnight" @ 1A tonight.

A heads-up ahead of time from SHARK...
A White Sox/Twins' matinee from Minneapolis nips not only Mac & Spiegs, but "B & B" are scheduled to start after Rongey's "Xfinity Postgame" around 4P tomorrow afternoon. First pitch tomorrow @ 12:10P. Please make note.

One last thing...KNOCK OFF THE BAD ANTHEM SINGER...NOW! :x

Of course it's useless, it's information from camp. It's fluff, ZZ isn't going to go digging deep for some crazy breaking news story or whatever. This is what he is supposed to do. Talk about the Bears, which he does...I'm not sure what your expectations are for Edward R. Zaidman?

I want him to report what he sees even if it may be negative. He won't do that so you can't trust anything he says. I'm not talking about breaking Bears stories but if a Bears first round pick looks lost out there then just say that he looked lost out there.

Basically, whatever inside information he gains is wasted by the fact that he won't use any of that information unless it puts the Bears in a positive light. In reality, the Score would be better if they never had Zack on and instead sent an intern to watch practice and give them a report.

In a perfect world of unbiased sources and reporters this would be true. I agree. If he started telling the stories, giving the info and such, well, he wouldn't get any access and the players wouldn't come on his show to act like 5 year children and on and on.

I think we agree more than we disagree on this, BR.

Its also not his job to defend any and all Bears from any statement that could possibly be perceived as negative, which is what he does frequently.

The point though is that with Zack he doesn't ever use that information to the advantage of the listener. We would literally be better off if every person associated with the Bears hated Zack and gave him no information but he could report what is actually going on.

I'm old enough to remember when Dave Kerner was actually on The SCORE payroll when they were up the dial...He'd be on my list of guys who'd read me the phone book with his pipes.

I agree.

He should be a reporter first and a Halas Hall Propaganda Minister 2nd. I guess we just have a difference in expectations.
