I think he's referring to you saying that having fewer black people makes the bleachers a better experience.

Just my take.

I don't think thats accurate. I rarely sit in the Bleachers and while I have posted about the low numbers of minorities that attend Cub games and the effect I believe that might have on overall attendence (improved), I never indicated anything about specific seating (bleachers) in such a post, so that doesn't really make any sense. I think he just chose to make the stuff up, for whatever reason.[/quote]
Maybe. I cant speak for NSJ. I know it was a reference to your thoughts on blacks at Wrigley.

2.5 up thanks to the Yanks sweep of the Tribe

Sox have quietly gotten back on track, winning 5 of their last 7 games and 4 of their last 5. Back to back series wins....

Hey Elmhurst Steve,
Can you please post what the Sox record is in the Central Division? Thanks.

So you think the Sox are going to win their division? Detroit will add to their club before the trade deadline (starting pitcher), Peavy will break down and Sale will either become less effective (due to the innings pitched and the dead arm he will suffer) or be shut down to protect him. The Tigers will win the division

The Tigers may win the division. I think it will be close.

Do you stand by your statement that the Sox will have a losing record in the division?

Great insight there. Steve thinks that there is a chance that Chris Sale, pitching in the AL at one of the most home run friendly home ballparks in MLB, might not keep up his pace of a 9-2 record, 2.27 ERA, and 0.97 WHIP.

So let's say after the AS Break, he goes 6-4 with a 3.46 ERA
That's still pretty fucking good, but steve will come back and say "i told you so, i told you there would be a dropoff!"

Steve also thinks that its highly unlikely for Matt Flynn to throw 5 touchdown passes every game he starts as well.

I'm talking about an ERA over 4.00 after the beginning of August - season's end, if they keep him in the rotation for the full season. He only pitched 71 innings last season and never over 138 in a year ever. The wear will begin to show in July and from August on, I think he'll struggle.

Yeah...over a month ago I had predicted in this post that Sale would suffer a dead arm and either have to be shut down (like now) or be ineffective (his last start for example) due to the innings he has logged, which are so far beyond the 71 innings he threw last season. Some guys hate to say I told you so....I dont!

 You can't be serious.

You predicted a pitcher may get hurt? You want a cookie?

By the way, Peavy seems fine so far, and can you please post the Sox record in the division?

What a terrible, terrible, terrible bump by you. You predicted a young pitcher may have issues with a full season. You are an amazing baseball mind.

I remember all the idiots saying how a young pitcher like Sale should just keep pitching. Screw the idea of shutting him down. Thats the problem with Baseball, all the managers and pitching coaches baby the pitchers. They need to throw more often to build arm strength...etc,etc... But I knew this crap with Sale was coming and the trip to the DL by Peavy is coming too. You'll see...Forget about winning the A.L. Central, it's not gonna happen. Detroit by at least 5 games

Wow! You predicted that Jake Peavy would not go the entire season with an ERA under 2.

You predicted that the Cubs would stock their farm system full of stallions after today. They got a prospect recovering from Tommy John surgery, and a bunch of lowly rated prospects.

You also said that the Cubs should not trade Soriano, because they don't have enough run producers.

Steve, you are just like a broken clock. Once in a while you are right, but not that often.
