What the fuck is Bernsy talking about? There is huge fucking difference between swim-aerobics and championship swimming.

He should try it sometime during the weekend between his slam dunk contests and 95 mph batting practice.

Are there more Olympic events now than, say, 20-30 years ago? If so, I can understand not using medal count as a guide for being the best Olympian. Similarly to MLB and it's ever expanding postseason. Get ready for a bunch of playoff records to be broken in the next few years.

I would classify swimming and wrestling together, in that both sports appear fairly easy, until you're gassed after 30 seconds of each.

For the most part anyone can line up and run a 100. Very few people can jump in the pool and swim an IM. It is extremely difficult.

Hard not to argue

The threads have been more entertaining than the shows lately.

It's one thing to take a dip in the pool. It's a lot harder than it appears trying to go from shallow to deep or vice versa.

That is the thing about swimming. I could enter a marathon and finish it. I would probably just have to walk 25 miles or so. I could sign up to do an IM because after 20m my arms and legs would be exhausted and I would have to dog paddle to the side before I could drown.
