Apparently marrying Nick Boynton today.

Guess he was too slow to get out of the way of Jen Jen the Engine, too...

You'd think that a pro athlete could afford a Saturday wedding instead of going cheap and taking Friday.

Even Silvy is cracking open the manpurse for a Saturday wedding.

What's she doing these days since CSNC decided not to renew her contract?

The most recent reports place her at the BJ counter in the back of Tony's Italian Deli.

To be honest, SHARK, I believe Ms. Patterson is selling real estate in Arizona.

Agreed. People who schedule Friday and Sunday weddings are cheap, inconsiderate losers.

Why make your guests rush after work on a Friday or have to go in to work with a hangover on a Monday?

Same people probably have cash a bar, too. Total douchebags. Have a hootenanny party in your parents' backyard if you are going to be a cheap bastard.

Having a cash bar at your wedding is poor form.

The rest of your statement is uninformed nonsense.

I wouldn't call it cheapskate at all. The wedding was at the same place as the reception, plus we made the wedding a bit later so as to accommodate more people although we really didn't care how many showed to the wedding.

It allowed us to have it at the place we wanted and save a ton of dough. Here is the kicker, though, so listen close....I took some of the money we saved by having it on Friday and upgraded the food package as well as upgraded the booze package.

We didn't pocket all of the cash, we reinvested it.

P.S., I do agree with a Sunday wedding unless there is an actual reason behind having it on that day...like a 3-day weekend or something.

I appreciate the balancing you did, which mitigates the "inconsiderate" accusation a bit, but you otherwise proved my point.

If I was an invitee, I would be slightly more perturbed for a Sunday scheduling, though, for sure.

Weddings are an industry and they can be expensive. I had to balance several factors as my wife and I paid for a lot of the wedding.

If I had to do it all over again I would have had it in a barn somewhere and saved a shit load of cash. I would invite Larry Horse as well.

I went to a country fair type of wedding last year, and it was pretty nice.

Weddings are a pain in the ass. Especially out of towners.

If I ever get married, I just plan on making it a huge pain in the ass for all the guys whose weddings I stood up in!
