He can't hit, but basically he can do all the stuff Ventura needs a 5th OF type to do. Defensive replacement (presumedly for Viciedo primarily), pinch run for Konerko or Dunn, and the occasional spot start. Now a relevant question would be, Why? They have a minimum-salary guy that can do this already in Jordan Danks. I'm guessing he goes to AAA as insurance until September roster expansion.
