It would be a bad precedent to set given how the White Sox get screwed in just about every game they play. They'd have to replay every White Sox loss and it would be unfair to the rest of the league.

I cant tell what percent of this is sarcastic.

A white sox fan was almost in tears yelling about how screwed they get over the weekend. I suggested the calls even out over the season and steam started coming out of his ears.

We had just seen a play where Dunn was safe but called out


Anyway, it sounds like the Umpire explained the rule incorrectly and inadvertantly admitted it was a mistake and King Konerko should have been out.


Weird, wild stuff.

If MLB didn't overturn Armando Gallaraga's play, they certainly will not end up overturning (or have the game relayed) that call on Friday.

Can't that be said of any manager? It ultimately comes down to how good your players are. How do you judge if a manager is good at his job if their success hinges on having very good players?

I think Mike Scioscia is far from overrated.

If he's overrated, in the sense that the signifigance that any manager really has on his roster is generally overrated, then I concur.

When Stoneman was the GM they were great. The ship sunk when Reagins took over. The minor league development fell apart when Reagins left that position to become GM. Almost all of the minor league field staff left under the new guy. He was let go after 2 years which was 2 years too late. Reagins is gone as well and now things are back on track.

Even during that 2-3 year stretch they were still pretty damn good.
