How I came into a relationship with Jesus Christ
We moved to a new house, three doors down from a church. The Pastor came to our house and invited my brothers and me to AWANA. That became our church home. When I was 9-years old I received Christ one Sunday night after an invitation from that same Pastor. I was baptized when I was 11.

How I came to Harvest
I was called to ministry in 1991 when I got out of the military. So we served in some way with young people, whether in Junior High in the early days of Harvest or later in the Children's Ministry. The Lord opened the door to vocational ministry in 2008, when I was asked to join the Elgin staff.

What I do at Harvest
I oversee Children's Ministry at the Elgin Campus as well as Harvest Christian Academy.

Why I do what I do
I love the energy and enthusiasm that young people bring to worship and discipleship.

The Scriptures

God the Father
We believe God the Father created all things in six literal days for His glory according to His own will (Revelation 4:11), through His Son, Jesus Christ. He upholds all things by the Word of His power and grace, exercising sovereign headship over all creation, providence, and redemption (Colossians 1:17, Hebrews 1:3).

Salvation
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, as the substitutionary atonement in our place, and that salvation is found in none other than Jesus Christ. Before Creation, God chose those who would be saved and granted this unearned grace solely based on His sovereign good pleasure.

Things to Come
We believe in and expectantly await the glorious, visible, personal, premillennial return of the Lord Jesus Christ. The blessed hope of His return has vital bearing on the personal life, service, and mission of the believer (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18). We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost. The lost will be raised to judgment and experience eternal wrath in hell. The saved will be raised to eternal joy in the new heaven and new earth in the manifested presence of God (Acts 1:3, 9; Hebrews 7:25-26).

How did Dan get out of drinky's wedding ceremony without a punch in the nose by one of the evangelicals?

drinky is playing this radio career thing all wrong. If he changed his tact and became the christian sports talker I bet he would have a big following even among people who didn't care about sports.

I do remember drinky doing a "Jesus show" last year. It was off the heels of the Tebow mania and Tebow's want to always praise Jesus. Drinky defended him and said people should talk about the teachings of Jesus. People should spread the good word. Hmmmmm. That he had no problem with Tebow and that heathens like Dan Bernstein were wrong to make fun of him.

Dolphin said drinky should become a Christian sports talker. It made me recall a show he did last year defending Tebow and him being OK with spreading the word. I didn't mean anything by it.

That being said, drink hasn't always been very Christian to me. He once told me to jerk off to Dan Bernstein amongst other insults of which Jesus wouldn't approve.

Seriously, a Christian sports talker would work in the bible belt. Good Dolphin gave some good advice. You should pursue this, drinky. The crackers might reject you initially because of your Chicago accent and your fast talkin' snide comments. I'm sure, in time, you would win them over with your charm. Well, maybe not. It's still a shot worth taking for you.
