78 Saturday with 3 missed putts from 6 ft. Feel like I am on the verge of putting it all together
for an excellent round. Pretty hilly course and I walked it... brutal.

Looking forward to seeing pics if you get any. Hope you play well. Is this some kind of scramble
format or do you just play your own ball?

For 9 holes? 3 hours for 18 would be awesome

Played at Inwood today and we got stuck behind a foursome that was slow and bad. We could have finished under 3 1/2 hours if they weren't ahead of us at least. On the bright side I shot about 20 strokes better than I did last time I played. Must of been the company I was with this time I guess.

Yeah, 9.

Ive played sub hour rounds before league by myself and then have league take 3:15...it's absurd.

Decided to play a few holes before...played 5, just didn't give a fuck at all...asked the front desk if they had anybody wanting to sub tonight...the list was like 6 or 7 deep...

...I need to play a round with friends quick before I sour on this game again.

56-53--109. Not bad considering the nine week layoff, the extremely tough course, and the new irons. I did score a birdie on the 358 yard par 4, 14th hole. I hit my drive 275 yards down the middle of the fairway, leaving 85 yards to the pin. My second shot was an easy 55 degree wedge that landed 8 feet below the hole. I sank the 8 footer for the only birdie today in our foursome.

Took the week off from league again...wound up playing with a few coworkers tonight...thank God!

Had a blast, shot a 43 (really good for me...had 4 legit birdie opportunities) and didn't wait on a single shot.

For comparison:

9 holes of league - 3 hours
9 holes tonight, dinner afterwards and the 20 minutes drive home - 2.75 hours

Yo.

My buddy's online tee-time website just went live in April: Back9Booking.com. They are basically like GolfNow, but they don't charge any stupid booking fees (and are obviously based in Chi-Town).

Check out my blog review here: http://chicagoduffer.com/2012/07/27/back9booking-com-is-chicagos-preferred-tee-time-booking-service/

I played Bolingbrook for the first time two days ago. Holy shit, that's a hard course! The water on the right of most holes definitely did not help my slice. Think I shot a 115, and that includes four pars.

The greens are so fast. It's nearly impossible to get a ball to land on the green, and stop.

It poured Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, so the greens actually weren't too fast. We played 6:45 a.m. Wednesday. Lots of standing water in the bunkers and saturated fairways.

Played at Tanna Farms in Geneva today. Par is 34-37, and I shot 41-55. It was a tale of two rounds. It is a very challenging course. You can't just grip it and rip it, as I like to do. You actually have to play golf. I hit a lot of 3-irons off the tee, including a 235 yard blast down the fairway on the 8th hole.

Shot 74 last Sunday and didn't make a birdie. 14 pars and 4 bogies.

Shot 80 at Glendale Lakes last Saturday, that included an eagle on the par-5 18th. :x

Golf is hard.

Hawg - that's some awesome consistency. I'm impressed.

In my first two nine hole rounds since I got back from vacation, I posted a 36 at Billy Caldwell and a 40 at Waveland. Off to Cog Hill #2 this weekend for some 18 hole action.

So my drives aren't going much more than 20all feet off the ground. Any ideas? 9.5 Warbird.

Ball could be to far back in the stance, which is causing a descending blow. Drivers now you almost want to hit on the upswing, the launching spot is not right in the center of the face but just above the center.
