I was briefly entertained by Eric Idle. The rest of it should be judged as illegal per the Geneva Convention.

the closing ceremony was horrendous. the only highlight was fatboy slim. everyone went crazy when he came out.

then they did a bunch of 80's songs! and not american 80s! british 80s!! seriously! it was soooo bad!

then sprice girls came out and nobody kept dancing. everyone was just watching like "oh. my. god."

I saw that the closing ceremony was called "A Symphony of British Music" and I thought "oh, neat, they're going to do some Purcell, some Handel, some Holst, some Vaughan Williams," and it was just fucking Blur.

How do you go through the entire Opening and Closing Ceremonies with absolutely no mention of The Rolling Stones?

They did extensive stuff with The Beatles, The Who, Queen, a tribute to David Bowie, and performances from 29 other bands that nobody's ever heard of and nothing with the greatest Rock N' Roll band of all time?

That's a real Mick-tease. I just assumed they were holding out with no mention whatsoever to close out everything with The Stones. That sucked. Take That? Really?

Come to think of it, nothing from Elton John either? Are these organizers really British?

While I agree with much of what you said, they should've had Iron Maiden rock that bitch to close it out!!

Fuck yes. That would be way better than watching some hack job ruining "We Will Rock You", fucking Blur (really?), the fucking Spice Girls? What?! An Oasis appearance that didn't even have both brothers? Singing Wonderwall? BAD.

In fact, they should have just had Maiden do a full set.
