I think that college players, after their freshman year is over, should be allowed to accept endorsement money like Olympians do. I would avoid having it for freshman simply to make life easier for high school athletes and to avoid issues I could see happening. I'd also institute a certain limit on the amount of money they can get from memorabilia signings and other things and let it be open. If Irish Boy wants to pay $500 for Nathan Scheelhaase's autograph and Dr. Ken wants to pay $1,500 for a Brandon Paul signed game worn sock why shouldn't they be able to?

I don't think I'd go that far. I certainly think they should be making money from the sale of THEIR jersey at the bookstore. Put that money into a blind trust during their career and then have a payout whenever they like after their playing career ceases.
