No one said it was hard work. Mac made this very clear last week. He missed (and sounds like regretfully) a good portion of watching his sons grow up and said he will no longer put work before them. Nothing wrong with that. He's fortunate enough to be in that situation.

Spiegs is a part-time musician, but I agree. Bill Melton's intro music...Not good. The best...Mike Florio's intro music.

Barry is insufferable. Anything aside from Hockey and Baseball, and the guy is lost. His big observation was that Shea McClellin looks like a 3-4 linebacker. Wow really? That's only been discussed for the past month, Barry. Next, he'll be making the observation that the Bears didn't address their left tackle needs in the off season....oh he already did.

Well, Barry Rozner sits in again tomorrow, Sum. Football isn't Rozner's thing... Then, Jason Goff sits in with Spiegs tomorrow & Friday while Mac is on vacation up in Canada.

I listened long enough to hear Spiegel bark at a producer, "Cue up Abbatacola's mic." Quite the condescending, bossy prick when he's in the big boy chair.

I noticed that he's a little like that too when he's doing hit and run.

A few Sundays ago, they were mentioning that the Cubs were bring up some player and optioning another player. Well about 1 or 2 minutes later, the producer of the show chimed in with the same exact information, and it sounded as though someone hit the dump button followed by Spiegel saying something along the lines of "Pay attention"...

Well wouldn't paying attention be a part of the producer's job? I do not have any problem with Spiegs in this sense since he came up through the ranks and paid his dues.

It seems like it's almost impossible to listen to him for a whole day and not hear something like this.

I have a feeling when he leaves the station that everyone is going to share Murph-like stories about him berating janitorial staff for not cleaning the bathroom to his specification.
