If I had to guess.
1) The economy still has people scared.
2) The government selling shares will drop the value of the stock by diluting it, so people don't want to buy in the short term.
3) Waiting to see if the Volt will work. May be until 2015 and the next generation until we really know.

I still think the future is bright, but I thought so last year too.

Just bought a Cruze last night. The LT has a nice little turbo kick on the engine.

I test drove a 2011 without the forced induction. It reminded me of my ex wife's Saturn SC-1 when the AC was running.

Test drove the 12 and the pickup was outstanding for that size engine. Definitely worth the extra cash.

I just wish the Volt was better. I had higher hopes that it would continuously improve and/or get cheap enough to make sense but it seems like they are concentrating on 2015.

Probably not, but it also doesn't include the costs of hundreds of thousands more unemployed, lowered tax base, and a major hit to the GDP.

I find it hard to believe that only 40% of Focus are hatchback variety. In Chicagoland, for sure more than half of current gen Focus are hatchbacks.
