Based on his years of speaking with and being around Derrick Rose?

If money is the reason big name stars don't want to come to Chicago, which seemed to be a common answer in my Bulls thread, I can't see the Bulls drawing the 2 or 3 stars they need to compete against OKC and Miami. Based on that, why wouldn't Rose want out in 3-5 years? He would get paid big bucks that would be comparable a Bulls offer and win championships with another team. That being said, the Nets threw money around and ended up decent players, but definitely not Miami or OKC level talent.

I am more worried about Rose coming back from his injury than him bolting in a few years. If he can't be the same player, it may be a mutual parting.

Agreed. He wasn't exactly enjoying a healthy season prior to the ACL tear either.

Again, I noted that in a thread saying that if he cannot come back from this injury and the others he was dealing with to be a premier player, do you trade him. Then I was told I need to stop breeding. I don't think it is that crazy a question to ask. If he comes back and is less of a cutter than Westbrook or gets injured again shortly after returning, he becomes a very expensive player on the IR.

The only way he ever leaves town is if he gets pissed off and leaves. I envision JR & Co. to do everything possible to keep him happy as he is a cash cow for the organization.

Correct. This is why I think the ACL injury may have been a blessing in disguise as it will allow him time to rest and recover from the other problems that were already plaguing him.

This.

I don't think it is the money or "The Jordan Effect".

I seriously think that NBA players, many whom, deservedly or not, carry the stigma of, well, let's just say that they have never been known to be "selfless team types", feel intimidated by Derrick's "angelic", good-guy presence, and that they fear that they would look bad, irresponsible, and/or Rodmanesque next to him. Let's not forget, many of these guys are Hometown Heroes and are used to being coddled and constantly told that they are Number 1 since grade school.

Shit, Dwight Hoeward and LeBroad didn't want to TOUCH that shit.

The first time he had a Supastar hissy fit or bout of laziness, his image would be compared to kind-demeanored leadership of Rose.

Is he Dwayne Wade, a fabulous player that will be injury prone. Not necessarily with major injuries, but those naggine ones that are tough to play thru for a full season.

I don't think it's a stretch to say Rose may eventually want to leave if he's forced to continue carrying the load without another superstar.

Well, he's not actively recruiting - he never does - so he really can't put the blame elsewhere.

Obviously they're not the same player but Kobe doesn't actively recruit either. Just because he's not out the in his cheer leading uniform doesn't mean management can't get a star for him to play with.

Hawg, I'm very glad to see this. Thanks for giving Panther another chance.

Explain.

1. He is jacked like an NFL linebacker;

2. He is seemingly subject to a never-ending spate of annoying structural injuries; and

3. He is a fucking dickhead.

Eh. He may be on steroids but I would disagree that they have much to do with his injury history. Of course it depends on what he is taking.

And yes, he is a cock face.

Yeah, I wouldn't want to have to hang with Lebron all season.

Yes. Crazy baby-momma problems are not pleasant. When a vindictive woman is hell-bent on ruining a child's life in order to hurt the dad, it might cause the dad to lose focus a bit.

Not that I know anything about that though...
