I hated this restaurant. Hated hated hated hated hated this restaurant. Hated it. Hated every burnt piece of chicken quesadilla that was an insult to taste buds everywhere. Hated the served upside-down cheeseburger that tasted like drywall with a soggy pickle spear on the side. Hated the sensibility that thought anyone would like the food. Hated the implied insult to the patrons by its belief that anyone would want to experience more of this crap.

Honestly, this place was so bad I needed to replicate Ebert's review of North. And I think that might not have been harsh enough. Sports Bar & Grill? We walked in and they had Wheel of Fortune on the big screen and rock music blaring so loud that we had to shout at each other across the small table. The lemonade tasted, well, odd. The glass of Coca Cola was probably the best thing on the table.

The quesadillas had a mixture of cheeselike substances and burnt chicken breast filets inside. The taste of burnt chicken was overpowering. The cheeseburger was brought upside down, with a soggy pickle spear, a few pieces of iceberg and the bottom of a tomato. It was also served with fries that were rather soggy.

The quesadillas were $9.25. The burger was $8.45. Each drink was $2. All told, $21.70, and then $1.74 in tax. Way overpriced for the lack of quality. Should have gone down the road to Subway or McDonald's or Portillo's.

Or Augustino's. It's only two blocks away.

By my calculations, the problem is you didn't drink enough.

I drive past this place a lot but have never gone in. Some places just look risky from the outside. This is one of them. There are never any cars in the lot. Well except for the Carol Stream PD looking for people going 46 MPH on North Ave.

Now that I work in Carol Stream, I may try this place out....there are so many choices in this area though. (Carol Stream/Bloomingdale/Glendale Heights).

But the one place that stood out to me the most? Arby's. :D

You should try Uncle Paulie's on North Ave in Glen Ellyn.

It's a bar with girls dancing. Girls that nobody wants to see.

Go to Augustino's, and get yourself a sammich.

Uncle Paulie's might be the sleaziest place in the Western Suburbs. I suggest you check it out, Camps.

CSFMB board outing?

Nothing is as sleazy as Arnie's, which is why I've been twice.

Sleazy might be the wrong word to use. Maybe trashy might be better.

The "ladies" at Uncle Paulie's might not give your something extra in a private room, but you wouldn't even want that at Uncle Paulie's either. It's not even a fully nude place either.

Lot's of heads would probably turn if Camps walked in though, so that could make things interesting.

There are plenty of brothers in that area.

Yeah, that's true, but Uncle Paulie's is definitely not a bar where they would be welcome. It's all bikers and white trash.

so many conflicting messages in these two sentences. If I throw down $20 for a private room dance am I getting a handy?

Sure, as long as your hands are still intact.

It's possible, but I was just saying you probably wouldn't want to receive one if they were available.
