The Sox should not bring back the following players under any circumstances:
Jake Peavy
Matt Thornton
Gavin Floyd

There is no fucking way they should have let Thornton face Young. After he couldn't get the lefty out they should have pulled his ass from the game. Bring Jones in to face Young. Saw that double coming from a mile away. FUCK.

Sox come home tied for first. Can't believe they play this way in meaningful games. How do you not score with the fucking bases loaded?

Thornton and Peavy won't be back.

Who do you think they can get to be as good as Floyd for $9 million or less?

How about anyone from the Royals or Orioles pitching staffs?

Battling his way to another loss. Yet another game where he couldnt outpitch his opponent.

They should just physically take them from either team. Remember, we're in Chicago so anything is possible.

Seriously, I don't know who is available, but there must be upgrades out there besides these shitbuckets. I want to punch Thornton in the face whenever he lopes out to the mound.

There's no reason to go to Thornton in key spots now that it's September and you can carry as many pitchers as you want.

Floyd is a bargain at $9 million for next season. You probably aren't going to replace his production and you certainly aren't going to replace his potential for that money.

I think Liriano is the guy you want to work on bringing back. He's probably significantly cheaper than Peavy and if he can cut down the walks a little, he's a real premium guy. If you could get him for three years at $30-33 million, I'd do it quick.

Liriano makes sense, but can they leave Thornton of the the playoff roster? I don't give a fuck about what Rongey says, Thornton is pure shit.

If the White Sox make the playoffs, Thornton will be on the roster. He's not a guy that can be trusted in any crucial situation though (obviously).

Even if the Sox get swept (I don't think they will), this thing isn't over. Tigers aren't a great team. They can't run away from the Sox in this final month. If anything, the Sox are the most likely team to run away with it and have a 6 or 7 game lead with 10 games left.

I still think it's gonna come down to that final week.

The definition of insanity: pitching to Cabrera every time and expecting a different result.

I'm surprised AJ hasn't taken him out for drinks yet.

This team is far from Roth era VH......

The White Sox are more like the Gary Cheron era.

Sucking pathetic.

Quite possibly the best description of the 2012 Sox I have heard yet.

What sucks is that Detroit finishes the last 10 games of the season against the Royals and Twins.

Good question. They seem to be "finding themselves" as a team and could be spoilers.

Wrong. The 2012 Red Sox are Van Halen with Bobby V as Cheron.
