Are there any free downloads to change Word docs int PDFs? Something I can use on amonthly basis that is. I found one or two that had a 30 day free trial

Acrobat X (10) Pro has a free 30-day trial that's a full version of the product. Adobe invented PDF. It's not worth going with a clone. PM me if you have any questions. I'm ACE certified on Acrobat.

cutepdf.com -- it installs like a printer driver, so you just go into Word, hit print, choose that as your printer, and name where you want to save the file.

The PDF printers are the best ones if you're looking for a free alternative and the PDF files work fine. I mean if you had money to blow on Acrobat, by all means don't let any cheapskate convince you otherwise.

the way i read it, perhaps he doesnt have word, he just wants to convert a word doc to a pdf.

Go to CNET's Download.com and do a search for free PDF printer and choose one that suits your fancy.
