Come on Frank, really? The guy is a homer making a public spectacle of himself, on the national stage nonetheless. As bad as Santo was, he was professional for the most part about it. Sure he told you all about his legs and diabetes and pimped JDRF often, but it wasn't like he was attacking umpires with verbal old-man rants. When Hawk disappears mysteriously during a blowout, my homer radar kicks in and makes me wonder these things. I think its perfectly normal to believe he would leave the booth because he was pissed, and its perfectly normal for me to speculate. If the guy had more class, I would have more respect.

not good enough. They needed the guy to come out against a bad team sitting players on a getaway and eat up innings after a blowout. He's sitting there in the 6th over 100 pitches. They will be lucky if he finishes 7. I really want my $17 million starter to 9 in that situation which I find frustrating about Peavy.
