Supposedly they have expanded the MyPlayer quite a bit to include sit downs with the GM that give you multiple options like rescinding a trade request, demanding to get rid of teammates, demanding more minutes, asking what the team expects/needs from you. You can also customize your guy's wardrobe so he's not always wearing that hideous brown suit. The actual gameplay is supposed to be more realistic with hundreds of more customized moves and gestures specific to individual players.

The previews and stuff like that look pretty cool. Madden let me down this year. I don't think 2k will. I would hate for the only two video games I play to both be disappointing. I don't ask for much.

I usually get the sports game every other year and I am sitting on a copy of Madden 10 and NBA 2K11 and I don't know which one is more ripe for a refresh this winter. I am leaning towards 2K13.

Thats what I would suggest. Madden kinda sucks this year.

Got this on Tuesday from Amazon. I'm liking a few of the new features like MyTEAM, where you basically get a randomized team of scabs to battle people online with similar scab teams. Over time you get to "purchase" new players to improve your team.

Gameplay is also a bit different with the inclusion of funky dribbling moves with the right joystick. Now you have to hold down LT while using the right joystick if you want to shoot. This small addition of one button press to shoot with the joystick (as opposed to simply pressing X) was hard to get used to at first.

I like that you can earn "credits" from playing any game mode, which helps you upgrade your MyPLAYER faster.

Online mode is still awesome and seems more streamlined than last year's dashboard. KD and LBJ are unstoppable.

I'm happy with the game. Graphics seem similar to me compared to last year's.

...and they seem similar to 2005 also, that was IMU's point.

Well... any sequel is technically a "money grab". Otherwise every developer would just release on version of a game and be done with it.

The graphics might not be extraordinary, but there are other new elements to the game that are enjoyable.

But aren't the COD titles sequels? If the NBA2K franchise isn't considered a series of sequels, then how can they go down he same path as a franchise comprised of sequels?
