What an awful show this is. I'm sure not many listen to this catastrophe but I did tonight and I have in the past, and it's absolutely awful. Zach is a horrible host and his face must be covered with butt mudd for all the a-hole kissing he does. I'm so glad Mac got rid of this guy from his show.

I listened to about the first 7 minutes. I think Henry Melton was on. Zach make some goofy statement and say right? Melton said he had no idea what he was talking about and would say no blah blah blah. Then he brought up Peppers a couple times. Really weird.

I get the feeling ZZ thinks he is buddies with these guys too. His questions are terrible, his attitude is terrible, and he typically has no clue what he is talking about. Is this some sort of blue print Mitch follows?

IIRC, the Bears purchase the airtime for the show.

My favorite ZZ convention is at the half of bears radio broadcasts when he runs up to lovie smith for the halftime interview, 95% of the time he doesn't ask a question to lovie, he makes some sort of a semi-editorial statement like "lovie, you have to be pleased with the way the bears are playing this half"

seriously, he never asks a fucking question, he comes out and invokes a rongeyism where he speaks about how you should feel about what you just saw and lays the company line on lovie to get some sort of affirmation.

but after listening to bears all access, seriously, you have to have a little more respect for laurence and how he turns the buddy-buddy "i'm one of the guys" mantra into professional-caliber radio. we can have our debates on whether you like it or not, but laurence at least does a better job of rolling with the arrangement. who remembers that one all access show from 09/10 where jay cutler and g-reg olsen basically teabagged zach all hour and zach smiled and giggled and said 'thank you sirs may i have another?' --- that was the epitome of this phenomenon that the OP was talking about.

I think so. Zach, while he's admittedly awful, can't really win with this show. It's like being asked to guard a live grenade.
