The GB/SF game has been so bad, that I think the refs deserve their own thread to keep a running tally.

There have been many calls in this game, but the thread starter is the TD call when the entire player and more importantly the ball, were a good foot outside the pylon.

There are just as many bad calls when the regular ref's are there. Just hypersensitive to that because they're not. I say that as a staunch supporter of having the regular guys back but Ive seen them have some god awful games too.

No. Check out the Seattle/Arizona game ... sure must be hard to count to three.

Not surprising. You hire scabs, you get what you pay for.

On the NBC pregame recap, they mentioned not one word of the incident. A purely editorial decision, I'm sure ....

Coaches, players and the NFLPA should all be exerting some pressure on this situation. They are the people put in the most jeopardy by lesser refs.

These refs have made some mistakes, just like the old refs..So far they have performed decent...Old refs were no damn good ..I expect the refs to improve.

They're not going away anytime soon. Get ready for at least 4 more weeks of bad calls & likely more bitchin' & moanin' from FOX Sports Officiating Expert Mike Pereira in his Los Angeles studio.

Good...I want to see the old refs gone forever..these news guys are younger and hungry..they will improve and be better than the old turds by seasons end..and by the way..fewest challenges overturned ever in a week. Just because guys like Buck or periera want their buddies back working and take shots at the new refs won't help anything..fuck the old turds time for a change.

i think unions are great in certain situations... especially where safety is concern

but nfl refs? fuck them. its week 3 now and there hasnt been a game decided yet due to bad officiating. a couple close calls, but for the most part nobody can tell those arent the normal refs out there. nobody cares either. i think the nfl is going to win against a union strike, which is pretty awesome.

Maybe the NFL can beg state legislatures to pay the refs a little bit extra. Then everybody wins, except for everybody.

Refs in Philly/Bal game just made the worst call I've ever seen in my life. Ruled an obvious forward pass a fumble. Under review now.

YES. And how they missed that was a damned intentional grounding after it was ruled incomplete is bad as well.

That is not even in the top 100 of worst calls all time...and they got it right in the end...and there was no grounding because a receiver was in the area..it was a close call both ways...I have seen games that I thought were straight up fixed! ..these refs are clumsy but just as good as the old turds that went on strike and have room for improvement...everyone has them under the microscope and is being critical on every call...they have done decent.

They've been brutal as hell. The regular refs are worlds better than them. They honestly don't look like they know what they are doing on like 30% of the calls. It's laughable to suggest they are as good as the professional refs.

Awful call, agreed...these guys are not good..but the old refs sucked too....I think they are getting help from upstairs and that is why it is taking so long to make a decision.

Jets-Steelers might have been the worst officiated game I've ever watched.

As I predicted, there is no difference in officiating between the regular officials & the replacement officials. NFL refs aren't elite like NFL players are. There have been no major officiating mistakes that have effected the outcome of the game. No one really notices a difference or cares that NFL games are being officiated by replacement refs.

You must of been watching different games then me today. While a lot of the games you probably did not notice, the Balt/Philly game was a train wreck you don't usually see at the high school level.

I watched the Ravens/Eagles game, & yes, there were some questionable calls...but I have seen games officiated by the regular NFL officials that were worse. Overall there is no difference between the regular officials & the replacement officials.
