I think Bear weather really helped the Bears yesterday. The Colts play indoors and weren't prepared for the elements! What do you guys think about moving Peppers to linebacker? I'll hang up and listen for my answer.

I used to work there, and I still don't get it. It's okay if they get loud & go crazy when the opposing team is in the red zone...

The Bears had to call a timeout because of the loud crowd noise in the red zone and they were knocking on the door, I think in the 2nd quarter.

Question: would it be so hard for the lads over at Soldier Field to create some scoreboard "signs" that would display ever time the Bears are on offense to, in far more polite terms, ask the fans to shut their fucking yaps? It wouldn't work on everyone to be sure, but it would at least have to make a dent. ...sackmachine...giggity...

The reason Cutler started flapping his arms to quiet the crowd is because that is the preferred action to get the crowd to quiet down.

It is the preferred action because fans generally understand what that action means.

Fans understand it because this happens ALL THE GODDAMN TIME! EVERYWHERE!

Here's a tip. If you want the fans to understand how to act when you're in the Red Zone why not try GETTING THERE EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE!

Obviously it's apparent they will frequent the zone more often than in years past.

This is all just a stupid issue. Of course the fans are going to be excited when the most anticipated offense in Bears history is playing their first game and finally driving the ball to a near TD after looking like shit for 2 drives. This is worthy of about a 2 minute segment.

So, Bernstein can't stand any more dumb Bears callers, yet gets a reasonably intelligent call asking about Ventura's increasingly poor moves, and dismisses that as well. I know it's a Bears Monday, but at least give someone with a working brain cell 15 seconds of thought.
