Take a look at the listing of tracks on that one..... Crazy

BOB DYLAN 'Blonde on Blonde' (1966)

Good talk, but calling Dylan work from 1966 a "cd"... Awesome "album", maybe "LP"?

I figured it was tough enough getting any kind of Dylan conversation going, I didn't want to hipster it up too much
Do you have any opinions to toss into the ring beni?

The dude types up a compelling, thought out Dylan critique (by request), and you nitpick for him calling it a cd?

Tough crowd.

Apologies Apologist. That was more of me remembering what it was like to have albums/vinyl, and with Dylan I associate him with albums...kind of an era thing more than any intended shot. T-bone, from your posts, you have always been way ahead of me in terms of knowledge on his albums/music/life. I typically went for individual songs more than albums. Loved "Tangled up in Blue" so much I made it a point to visit Delacroix, LA. I also liked the song "Girl from North County" as it had another of my favs, Johnny Cash. Showing my age, I remember watching the Johnny Cash show. He had some pretty cool guests way back when. I liked "Before the Flood" and "Blood on the Tracks", and seem to remember having an affinity for "Bringing it all Back Home" mainly because it had "Maggies Farm" on it.

Thus endeth the beni ramble.

I certainly see what you mean, especially when talking about any albums prior to the mid 80s. In the prior posts
I did reference them as albums so the cd thing just slipped out since that is what I buy. Nashville Skyline which has
"Girl From The North Country" is a fine album and that song in particular is a very good one. I have the other albums
you referenced as well, both are good representations of older Dylan both in studio and live. If you enjoy his work I
highly recommend his Bootleg Series'. I'd be happy to send you some if you are truly interested in a particular portion
of his library.

While Blood on the tracks is my favorite studio album (coincidentally, I play music before class and Thursday it was tracks from BOTT), the Bootleg series no. 5- the rolling thunder review probably has Dylan at his best, I recommend that to anyone who wants to dive into Dylan's work.

Sounds like we can all agree the only useful album from Dylan is Blood on the Tracks. Everything else is varying levels of trash.

Yes that is a good one Psycory. I like all the performances from the Desire album including Romance in Durango,
Isis, Oh Sister, and a couple others. I have all the Bootlegs except for one and they have all been good for various
reasons.

Question for Terry's Peeps:

Do you know of anyone who prefers to use "deodorant" instead of "anti-perspirant"?

Also, if so, do you know said person's reasoning? Their favorite brand?

I never use anti-perspirant. That shit is terrible. It causes a rash. Mennen Speed Stick is the best. But you have to be careful because the deodorant and the anti-perspirant look almost alike. I'm pretty sure perspiration is natural and shouldn't be prevented.

Word. I brought one to the Lord of the Manor at the 2011 Darkside Estates party. He was most pleased.
